    -The championship has been clinched on the road two years in a row. Prior to that, it was clinched at home three years in a row.

    -The championship has alternated between East/West every year since 2003.

    -The Spurs have won three of the last five championships.

    -Since 1990, the MVP has been on the championship team seven times.

    -Since 1978, only two players have won MVP while averaging less than 20 PPG(Steve Nash and Bill Walton).

    -The MVP has been awarded to a Caucasian (and foreigner) three years in a row.

    -The last time an Eastern Conference player won MVP was Allen Iverson in 2001.

    -Since 2000, the Rookie of the Year played on a playoff team twice.

    -Last year, Marcus Camby became the first player since 2001, other than Ben Wallace or Ron Artest, to win Defensive Player of the Year.

    -In the last 10 years, the only players to win Defensive Player of the Year while averaging less than 10 RPG are Alonzo Mourning(2000) and Ron Artest(2004).

    -In the last 20 years, Gary Payton is the only point guard to win Defensive Player of the Year.

    -Last year, the Cavs won 50 games in back to back seasons for the first time since 1993.

    -2000 was the last time the Mavs won less than 52 games.

    -The Pistons have missed the playoffs only five times since 1984.

    -The Pistons have won the Central division five of the last six seasons.

    -Last season was the first time the Warriors made the playoffs since 1994.

    -From 1985-1999, the Rockets only missed the playoffs once(1992). Since then, they have only made the playoffs three times, and they lost in the first round all three times.

    -In the last 30 years, the Clippers have made the playoffs four times, losing in the first round three of the four times.

    -In the Lakers entire history dating back to 1949, they have missed the playoffs only five times.

    -The Grizzlies have played 12 playoff games, and lost all 12.

    -The Heat have made the playoffs in 12 of their 19 seasons.

    -In 1998, 1999, and 2001, the Heat were upset in the first round, and were done so by the Knicks in 1998 and 1999, and by the Hornets in 2001.

    -In 1998-2000, the Heat faced the Knicks in the playoffs as the higher seed, and the Knicks won all three series.

    -The Heat have won 50+ games six times, and were upset in the playoffs four times.

    -The Bucks have made the playoffs six times in the last 15 years, and lost in the first round five times.

    -From 1997-2003, the T-Wolves lost in the first round each year.

    -The Nets have not missed the playoffs since 2001.

    -In the Nets last six playoff appearances, they reached the second round five times.

    -The Hornets were .500 or better in Charlotte 10 years in a row from the 1992-93 season until 2001-02, but have only done it twice since moving to New Orleans for the 2002-03 season.

    -The Knicks have not had a winning season since 2001.

    -In the Knicks last 15 playoff appearances, they advanced past the first round 11 times.


    -The last time the Magic won 50+ games, Shaq was with them.

    -The Magic have lost in the first round six consecutive times.

    -In the Magic's three 50+ wins seasons, they were swept in all three seasons, two of them by underdogs.

    -The 76ers have advanced to the second round in four of their last six playoff appearances.

    -The Suns have missed the playoffs only twice since 1989.

    -The Blazers made the playoffs every year from 1983-2003. They haven't made the playoffs since.

    -The Kings have missed the playoffs only three times since 1996.

    -Since joining the NBA in the 1976-77 season, the Spurs have missed the playoffs only four times.

    -The Spurs have never won the championship on an even year.

    -The Sonics have won 60+ games three times since 1994.

    -The Raptors have advanced past the first round once since their debut in 1995-96.

    -The Jazz made the playoffs every year from 1984-2003, but have only made it once since then.

    -The Wizards have made the playoffs only four times since 1989.

    U MEAN CRAWFORD IS THE ONLY PLAYER IN THE NBA WHO HAD NEVER APPEARED IN THE POST SEASONS IN A 7 YEAR SPAN.
