Isiah Thomas held preliminary discussions Wednesday with the Nuggets about ex-Knick center Marcus Camby, whom Thomas selected with Toronto's No. 2 pick of the 1996 draft, The Post has learned.
Thomas is searching for an athletic big man after losing Antonio McDyess in the deal, with Rasheed Wallace high on the wish list.
Camby has stayed relatively healthy this season, missing just four games. But he can opt out of his contract after the season, and the Nuggets could be concerned he'll be asking for too much. Denver is again trying to get under the cap this summer
