So, I think I am not going to go to the draft this year, I am probably goin to watch it all at my house. Plus you can barely here the comish in the theather anyway.
I just hope we get any of the three top picks in the draft:
Beasley
Rose
Mayo
after that there are very good players, but these are the immediate superstars.
If the knicks get the # 1 pick it would be interesting to see what direction they head in. Beasley or Rose? Wow this is hard man!!! Beasley is the obvious choice, but don't we need a future PG?
I agree with you that we have to many SG/Scorer's on the team already and I definitly don't want the Knicks to dfaft a SG or SF but if we take Beasly for the PF spot where does Lee get his minuts... at C ? I'm that dude that says trade down to adress our major needs of a PG or C. If we can trade down 10 spots or so we could still end up with a good C (Jordan,Thabeet,JaVeal Mc whatever from Nevada) or PG a bunch of good ones left in there after rose is gone. Any way I would like to see the Knicks trade down address team needs and maby get back some of those draft picks we've already traded away!(Zeke!)
I hope the next GM in here can send those Mid-West guys packing (Curry+Q Chicago,Jeffries+Z-Bo Indiana) Whats that about 36-37 million? Would be a great start! (followed up with tossing James,Crawford back up to the north-west)(another 13-14 million) I just wish it was that easy!
Rose may be the number overall pick, especially if his team wins the NCAA championship...Rose has really matured over the tournament and has looked like a tall ass Chris Paul with Dwayne Wade slashing ability.
The Lopez brothers declared for the draft.
NBA teams generally steer away from drafting guards number one overall. Rick Majerus was on the radio and didn't seem to be high on Beasley, especially being concerned about what position he'll play in the pros. Majerus' top two pro prospects were Rose and Gordon. He liked Lopez and Love but was not a believer in Hansborough.

man wat u smokin...f*k rick majurus, if we have the chance to draft beasly we beta get him
what do you guys thnk about neitzel from michigan state?
.Derrick Rose is playing really well for the Memphis Tigers. I think they got this. Derrick Rose is a top pick definately top 2. Who is going to take it? Kansas? or Memphis?
The Knicks are likely to have the fourth worst record. Miami is clearly number 1. Seattle is number 2 and not likely to improve because it has the toughest schedule. Minnesota has one more win -19 - than Seattle and two fewer than the Knicks, but they do have games against Charlotte, Memphis and Milwaukee. Memphis has the same number ofwins as the Knicks - 21 - but it has games against Minnesota and Miami. Thus I beleive it is likely that the Knicks will have the fourth worst record.
The worst record gets 250 ping pong balls; 2nd worst gets 199; 3rd 156; 4th 119 and 5th 88. This is out of 1000. If there are ties, the total is split.
The Knicks - if 4th - will have an 11.9% chance of the top pick and, depending on how many ping pong balls are eliminated after the first pick, a better chance at the second pick. For example, if Miami gets the first pick, then 250 balls are eliminated. If another team gets lucky, fewer balls will be eliminated.
If the Knicks get the first or second pick, then the choice, it seems to me, is Beasley or Rose. If the Knicks are not 1 or 2, they will not see either of them.
If they are 4th in chances, then they can do no worse than 7th. The tough question is whom to take after Beasley and Rose are gone.
GOod post Oldtimer, its a good question you asked about who to pick when Rose, and Beasley are already picked, it the Knicks fall to the 7th or 6th pick, its hard to make a good pick out of that. I would try to get a pure point guard. This team can't rely on Nates inconsistant play, plus Nate has to work on his passing game. which he did but it didn't make a huge difference.
