Who is currently the Knicks best defender.

This may seem like an odd question but who in your opinion is our best current defender? Statistically Nate Robinson gets the most blocks averaging .02 blocks per game in 24 minutes, and Crawford has the most steals averaging 1.05 SPG. Could Randolph Morris or Wilson Chandler do better with more minutes? What happened to Jeffries the defensive specialist?

I would have to go with Quentin and Balkman. Q seems to know that his shot is no longer a weapon, so he plays harder defense to make up for it. Balkman is just a energetic freak who will hound you on defense until you make a mistake. He reminds me of a taller Starks defensively.

I got to say either Balkman, or Fred Jones.

The best defender on the Knicks is Renaldo Balkman. He's the only player that consistantly gets steals and blocks. If he was a starter, he could easily average 1 block and 2 steals per game.

Other good defenders on our team include: Fred Jones, Jared Jeffries(even though he sucks) Jerome James(the only Knick to average 1 bpg for his career, despite never getting PT) Mardy Collins,Malik Rose(even though he is old and never gets PT) and Wilson Chandler

I'm not sure if he has defense, but his defense was solid in the summer league. He's 6'10 and is in good shape, so it wouldn't surprise me if he was a good defender that just needs playing time to show it.
