Default Knicks Want Jerome James To Retire

The New York Knicks are trying to convince big man Jerome James to retire, the New York Daily News is reporting.

James earned more than $1 million per minute of playing time last season, and the Knicks are hoping to part ways with the former Sonics center. He appeared in just two games last season and sat out the final two months due to soreness in his right knee.

James, who will earn $12.8 million over the next two years, has every intention of playing next season and is even considering joining a group of veterans for voluntary workouts this weekend in Las Vegas.

Look its all about his integrity now!

There are two things that Jerome James knows 1.He will never make an impact on this team and 2.There is no way he will sign another NBA contract
The latter is what has me the most concerned, The Knicks will suggest a medical retirement for Cap release on his final season, but he honestly does not have to take, and could decide to be like @#$% you pay me!

There is no way Jerome James cares about The Knicks as a team, he wants his money and that is it. And you know what if he doesnt take retirement then just cut the check for him not to be associated with our roster anymore. If I were Donnie Walsh I wouldnt even let him the door at camp tommorow. Just direct him to the nearest casino, although I am certain he knows the way it's probably where he is when The Knicks have practice and games on our West Coast swings.

I say good on the fat ****

Isiah retardly signed him for so long without playing him, and he wants to leave with the rest of his money.

Its not his fault, its Isiah.

We should buy him out, and everything will be solved

If only it were that easy. If he retires we get a cap break. Sadly even Jerome James isn't stupid enough to do that, He'll sit on the sideline in a suit and collect his money rather then retire. I'd do the same thing.

All for a buyout, but well see.

Also i don't get the "considering" joining the veterans at voluntary mini camp. I know under the collective bargaining argreement we can't make the mini camp mandatory, but coming off a 23 win season and with a new regime in place all the vets should atleast have the self pride and awareness to be there, even if they can't participate in the light workouts they should atleast be there.

P.S. check out the Al Hahns newsday blog and watch the youtube of this party Zach Randolph is throwing in Indiana instead of being in Vegas. That right there is why i'd rather have Curry then Randolph.

Hey dude,if J.James "medically retires" the remainder of his salary is paid by INSURANCE.If that were to happen then we can petition the NBA for a medical player exception and sign 1 more player. GREAT IDEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Default My name is King James, Bitch!!!!

Yo, don't hate the player, hate the game: Jerome James got his, you better get yours. He got mad cake, six mill. coming this year alone. And more coming, because Isiah is a baller with other people's money. He got it like that.

You can't blame Jerome James, he's gonna take his cake and eat it, too. Can you blame him? Wouldn't you do the same? My man said "use me or lose me." Ya people been talking about James. What about Queintin Richardson's wack ass? what about number 34, Eating CURRY? The knicks is a charity for wack and fat players. Don't hate on him. He's King James, bitch.

that fat bastard aint gonna retire... he's gonna want to get more money out of somebody, even if it's for a veterans minimum.

nevertheless, if he doesnt retire, he will be bought out before november

then we'll see him come in with another team and drop like 50 on Eddy Curry
