If the Knicks keep Marbury and start him, the Knicks will most likely win a minimum of 30 games, and the Knicks will most likely not have a chance to draft him.

These are a list of players that I think the Knicks should try to draft next year:

    Ricky Rubio PG
    Hasheem Thabeet C
    Blake Griffin SF/PF
    Lester Hudson PG/SG
The first two guys especially Thabeet i have like on this Knicks team for a while now...good list but Marbury is out unless he'd want to sign a small deal which i doubt he'd want to do.

WTF is ur problem? We havent gone anywere with Marbury and he has been a problem with team chemistry and with coaches....i like him and think he will do better this year. i think his life has changed with his father's death...but as this team goes...i doubt he'll stay...u gotta look at reality, Marbury does have an ego and after making 21 Mil you think he'll settle for a really small offer? As Borat says "NOT!" I dont think Donnie trust him after all that has gone down.

Marbury still has one more year left. The Knicks don't have to give him an offer, because he's already scheduled to make 21 million dollars for the 2008-2009 season. Marbury said that he wants to play in Italy after his contract is up, so he's not really looking for an extension. What Team Starbury wants is for Marbury to play for the Knicks next year. We know that he's our only All Star, and we know that he's the only current Knick that has gone to the playoffs with the Knicks.

We don't trust Eddy Curry, Quentin Richardson, Jamal Crawford, Chris Duhon, and Zach Randolph with this franchise, because they've never led this team to the playoffs. In fact, two of those players that are bolded have never been to the playoffs.

For those of you that think Marbury is gone, look what I found:

    Rubio would be nice.

The lottery is so unpredicatable, chicago had a better record than most teams in the lottery and they got it. If the Knicks suck I hope they win the lottery.

This dude is a hater and completely lacking facts.

Rubio is already a PRO and is playing in a more physical league.

NBA has gone soft with a lot of floppers, where as Euroleague is physical 80's NBA basketball.
    Do your research.

Rubio is already the best defensive guard in Europe, and he's a 17 year old child.

Rubio is PROJECTED number one in most mock drafts, what makes your foolish ass think he wont get the spot?

With the rate he's playing and improving in Euro, he's going to stay on the spot, especially with Rudy Fernandez leaving the team for the Blazers, Rubio will be asked to score more and that will only raise his stock since he's already an elite passer and defender.

Prince and Hamilton are twigs too, but they get by with their skill on either defense or offense.

Rubio has Prince like defense. Long arms and body who has amazing footwork for a child.
    Offensively, he's a special prospect.

Why don't you watch some games of the kid before you talk ****?
    Thanks.

Exactly. Rubio will go #1 simply because he is a once in a lifetime point guard. Look at this year's draft. Chicago desperately needed a low post presence and Michael Beasley fit their needs perfectly. He was the most NBA ready player to immediately contribute, yet Chicago drafted a prospect PG even though they are loaded with guards. The PG position is the most important position in the NBA and no team will pass up the chance to draft the reincarnation of "Pistol" Pete Maravic.

Ricky Rubio is The Chosen One. He is already NBA ready. He is Steve Nash and Walt Frasier rolled into one. The only thing I see him having problems with are big PGs that post up (e.g. Chauncey Billups).

I know you know more about Rubio and watching videos of him i just observed his offensive skill which is very good, but is he also known for his defense that much? cuz when comparing to Tayshaun Prince your making a statment that he's a solid defender that can block shots. I just want to know more about this kid.

I don't think scouts would be raving like they do over Rubio if it wasn't for his defense.
He's really rare because most young Euros don't have the confidence or experience to play defense.
Not only Rubio has a snack for getting steals, but he puts as much as effort into defense as his offense.

His only problem is he's not gifted with the most blessed athelicism, but he isn't robotic like JJ Reddick either, he's smooth like Pistol Peete...a high temp offense with athletes (Robinson, Lee, Chandler, Balkman) would benefit him similar to how it benefited Nash and his limitations as athlete in Phoneix.

Rubio gets questioned for his character where he expects to get a lot of fouls called and complains a lot to the refs.

I don't know if you guy thinks thats GOOD or BAD...but I think its a positive that a 17 already has that much confidence and pride in his game.

I would be happened with Rubio, Jennings or Thabeet.
Jenning is going to be very good, he's playing Europe now and will excel...hopefully the European teams don't discriminate and give him a chance, the kid can ball.

Our future doesn't look bad overall.
Atleast we have hope, I shouldn't speak so soon though.
We should see how Chandler improves this season, as well with Lee, N-Rob, and Balkman.

Duhon confuses me...I could see him ended up Marcus Banks was in Phoneix..

Also expect a couple of new guys to come into the season with more consistant jumpers.

D'Antoni worked A LOT with Diaw who was a terrible shooter in Atlanta. Diaw was morphed into a pretty solid mid range shooter.
I could see the same possible for Lee and Balkman...that would be HUGE for us.

    Robertson isn't proven.
Our best 3pt shooter is Nate...he's not bad, but not on an elite level yet.
    Richardson and Crawford are streaky.
    Marbury as well.

I just hope we move someone for a 3pt specialist...or just a guy who could spread the floor.

I don't know how Gallinari is going to shoot in the NBA, its really about confidence and rhythm...it'll most likely take him a while.

Anyone else worried about not hearing any trade rumors?
I hope Walsh is working his ass off with this roster, because it doesn't look ready to go at all.

    Default About Donnie.....

I really think he's sticking to his 2010 plan and expects to get a star wether its lebron or not i'd still do fine with Bosh, or D-Wade if their available and if not, then we know we arent in 90 mil in debt so there is a positive to it. The money is the biggest issue because we cant pick up any free agents in the future that are good. Duhon was a bench player so dont consider him good yet. He has to trade the big salary guys that go past 2010 and i think eventually he wll move them if there is interest but he will try to up there trade value with Mike D as coach. The trades prob will occur during this year trade deadline, and next year i expect alot of moves, Mike D said during the Summer league that it takes him a month to really know if a guy can work in his style of play. So expect it sooner than later hopefully. If i hear of any rumors ill make threads on each one.

"The best point guard in the ACB League (youíve read right, heís already the best and itís not even close) just delivered another lesson about how to play this game."

"His efficiency production (a stat similar to the NBAís EFF) is off the charts, ranking fourth in the ACB League overall, falling only behind the 1985-born standouts Marc Gasol, Rudy FernŠndez and Tiago Splitter" He was born in October of 1990.

"Heís quick, and has excellent body control and ability to change speeds, which helps him get basically everywhere he needs to on the court."

"Offensively, heís primarily a slasher when it comes to his scoring ability. His footwork is a thing of beauty, and this, combined with his terrific ball-handling skills, creativity, and feel for the game, allows him to put constant pressure on the defense in a style that is somewhat reminiscent of Steve Nash."

"Ricky wouldnít be getting the minutes heís seeing if he wasnít able to hold his own on the other end of the court, though. Itís here that he earns his keep, and already is able to hold his own against the best of the best in the ACB as he showed us this weekend, as the feature piece of his teamís outstanding zone defense. His long arms gained his team a huge amount of extra possessions throughout the tournament, as his activity level, toughness, awesome hands and incredible anticipation skills makes him a menace in the passing lanes, as well as hitting the glass. He also showed the lateral quickness to stay in front of most anyone he went up against, which allows him to play outstanding on-ball defense as well."

"Late in games, Rubio seems to elevate his game even more, proving himself as the winner he was made out to be when he first truly burst onto the European basketball scene by scoring 51 points in the Final game of the U-16 European Championships." He also had a quadruple double the game before that.

Co-sign. I love how this guy is the 2nd coming and hasn't played a lick of ball here in the states. Let him go D-1 and dominate in a power conference like the ACC, Big 12, SEC or Pac-10 for that matter before you proclaim him king. Again the NBA game is way different than the international game.
