Akamu I'm glad you brought this up. I was into the whole North American Union thing starting a year ago and knew this would blow up soon. The huge highway that is going to stretch from Mexico, through the US, into Canada i think is built or being built now. Mexico and Canada would benefit huge from it and the currency of the dollar will be a thing in the past with the new currency.

I know it's off topic but one prohecy in the Bible talks about a one world currency. The North American Union can turn into another Union some day joined with The Americas and the European countries. Making one whole....if it is a success other countries will eventually join up like the Euro eventually did. Sooner or later the whole world will have one currency. Prophecy in the making....but just wanted to point that out it is a very interestnig topic whehter you believe in it or not.

All Garbage. Nothing that you've posted on here is evidence of a group of powerful people trying to unite the world or wanting to enslave anyone. Of course, there are those who, as everyone openly states, have more power than the rest of us. Whether in public or private office, there are people who have a inordinate amount of power. The difference is that, they cannot act in a governmental capacity, unless they're elected, at least in this country: a democracy. But, either way, who puts these folks into power? Clearly, we do. Who picks up the gun and fights the wars? We do. Who invests their energy in supporting ideology and religion? We do.

Nearly your entire post is about internationalism's evil, as opposed to the good of nationalism. This is clearly illustrated in your posting of that Obama speech, in which all he speaks of is the truth of our connection to the rest of this planet, which is nameless and nationless, until the names and distinctions are planted in the innocent mind. You then post a video of McCain, a man who's made tons of crazy statements, clearly making a sarcastic comment about how, if he was a dictator, he'd repair the FDIC, as a way to improve the economy. Either way, what exactly does McCain being dictator of the United States have to do with internationalism? Your mind is crowded with conspiracies, to the point that they overlap and make you look insane.

You know, there's nothing nefarious about internationalism, it's a system, fundamentally based on bringing about world peace, by uniting all people and ending infighting: war, and conflict, etc., between races, ethnic groups and nationalities. Internationalism goes hand in hand with a new order, that doesn't mean that there is a secret group that calls itself the NWO. A loose confederation of all the world's nations, united for the sake of mutual interest, peace and prosperity, is something I think is inevitable, just like the rise of nations was. The world is becoming a smaller place, and the time is coming for us to evolve, in every way possible. I think this will occur, though, if we ever evolve to that point, hundreds of years from now. You were harping on Ron Paul's greatness, which is just another person who, had he won, would have had a voice, while billions would have remain silenced. Ideally, I'd prefer having more of a direct democracy and a limit on how many terms people could serve in local, state and national office.

Very few of us actually do any good, most of us contribute to evil and ignorance. It didn't really give many NEW powers, per say, just extended already existing powers to keep up with technology, and update that was WAY WAY WAY over due.

That said, I'm a liberal at heart, I don't like the way the government is going, and I don't like some of the provisions in USA PATRIOT (ie allowing government to tap almost unilaterally). That said there is a LOT of good USA PATRIOT has done, though I can understand your frustrations with it.

Widely popular to only a uneducated fool, it was only passed because the stage of 9/11 had occured. Which brought forth an uneeded war. How is taking away american liberties good? We have rights in place for a reason, taking away those rights are done premeditarily.

Do you even know about RFID chips? They are in all new credit cards as a way to track you any where at any time via satilite. Instead of implanting americans with RFID chips they cleverly put it in credit cards as one mean of tracking you.

There are ways to disable the chip in the card, I think they have a law against damaging the chip itself.

Akamu: The USA PATRIOT Act passed nearly unanimously in 2001, approved by bleeding heart liberals and hardcore conservatives alike. The controversies stem not from the language in the Act (with the exception of one section they repealed), but misapplication of the rights included therein. There are parts that are bad, but it's not all bad. For instance, language in one section updated so that the government was allowed to retrieve information from Internet Service Providers, whereas before the government had no remedy to impede terrorist or treasonous activity occuring solely on the Internet.

Most of what you are talking about is in the process of being remedied. You aren't perfect, I'm not perfect and neither is the government. A lot of the stuff going on right now in the courts deals with the alterting and restructuring of the bad parts of USA PATRIOT.

In terms of RFID chips, I do know what they are and I know for a fact that the United States Government puts them to use the least of almost any country in the world. You can criticize the RFID but other countries are using it so that you can quickly and easily buy groceries, board subways and other public transportation, buy gas, inserting them in passports so that fake identification can't be created (or at least seriously impedes their production), tracking items produced by companies that can be used to make bombs and explosives and a whole slew of other very positive uses. Plus the RFID credit cards you speak of generally are not the day-to-day credit cards in use. They are things like "Fast Pass" at a gas staton. Plus most credit card companies are more than willing to give you a non-RFID credit card if you ask for it.

I certainly agree people have a right to privacy, but the problem with USA PATRIOT is not the wording of the document, but rather the implimentation of it by feds and the like. FBI Agents have misused USA PATRIOT over 1000 times, THAT is a problem. Government agencies have not filled out correct paper work, even under USA PATRIOT, to permit them to do long term wire tapping, THAT is a problem. I guess what I'm trying to say is power is not the issue, abuse of power is.
