As much as I don't like Crawford, he's a New Yorker, and I have to admit, a pretty good player, lacks in some areas, but he's done a lot for us.... so

High school and college

Crawford attended Rainier Beach High School in Seattle, where his number (23) is retired. After high school, Crawford attended the University of Michigan, where he was given a six-game suspension by the NCAA for violating rules on amateurism and extra benefits received by Seattle businessman Barry Henthorn.[

Professional career

After being drafted in 2000 as a freshman by the Cleveland Cavaliers, he was traded on draft day to the Chicago Bulls for their pick, Chris Mihm. After four seasons in Chicago, he was traded (along with Jerome Williams) to the Knicks prior to the 2004-05 season, where he started alongside Stephon Marbury at the shooting guard. On November 21, 2008, ESPN reported Crawford had been traded to the Golden State Warriors for Forward/Center Al Harrington.

Achievements

His current uniform number, 11, is in honor of former Detroit Pistons guard and former Knicks head coach Isiah Thomas.[3] On December 6, 2005, he scored 31 second-half points in front of friends and family, as he and fellow Rainier Beach alum Nate Robinson enjoyed a road victory over the Seattle SuperSonics. This occurred just hours after Crawford unveiled Crawford Court, the $100,000 gymnasium for Rainer Beach High School.
On January 26, 2007, Crawford scored a career high 52 points. He hit 8 three pointers, one shy of the team record set by Latrell Sprewell in 2002.[

Golden State Warriors

Jamal Crawford was traded to Golden State Warriors in exchange for Al Harrington. He averaged 19.6 a game with the New York Knicks. The Knicks traded Crawford because they want to free up salary cap space for Lebron James when he becomes a free agent in 2010.

Jamal gave us some very exciting times in NY, including his 52 point outing against the Heat, numerous buzzer beater shots, and some very exciting victories, however, there were times, that things were not so well. Nevertheless NY is going in a different direction now and i just want to say thanks to Jamal, and good luck at GSW!

I liked the way Crawford played this year. If he can play like that in Golden State, they'll definitely land a playoff spot. They already have Stephen Jackson, Corey Maggette, Andris Biedrins, and Monta Ellis. Good luck to Jamal Crawford.

Very gifted offensively and he is moving to a nice system with coach Nelson. He will thrive and be in many highlights this season. Jamal hit some big shots and had some nice dunks. Wish him th best.
