If mobley does retire we need to bring in a guard without a question. We need depth because with Nate out we only really have Duhon and Roberson. Ewing Jr. will have to wait. If Nate was to come back before Mobley decides to retire then sign up Jr., He would be a good defender off the bench.

As for Houston.... I dont think those old knees can handle running up and down the court in D'antoni's system

Apparently Donnie is looking into Desmon Farmer. Does anybody know anything about this kid?

With Walsh trying to buy out Stephon Marbury's contract and Mobley's situation up in the air, the Knicks president said he already is investigating free agents. Obviously Patrick Ewing Jr. is high on Walsh's list, but he is looking more for a shooting guard. Former USC shooting guard Desmon Farmer, recently cut by San Antonio, will be considered.

"I'm looking at a lot of things around the league," Walsh said.

Agree. It would be a waste of time signing Houston since he's injury prone and it would just be like signing a part-time player.

Appears he's been one of the better 3 point shooters in d-league for a few years. Didnt really get played enough by Spurs to see how good is he compared to nba guys

I still think Fred Jones, Damon Stoudamire, Carlos Delfino should be first targets

If this is true why not give him a try. At this point I dont see why we wouldnt take a shot at a kid who could be a solid player in our system than an old rental guy

Next season, keep waiting
If that what you call the neck from your mom, then yes, I get a lot of mental therapy from Mama LJ4pt.

Little irelevant man, you would drink the sweat from my ass in hopes to fulfil your dream of being me. No one knows about you, on Knicksonline and in real life. I'm just the bomb everywhere I go, thats just me.

You mad?
Just another hater to stratch off my nuts.

Aren't you the same idiot who thought Eddy Curry is a top 4 center in the NBA?

Damn, what a moron.

Don't start this bullshit man. Be the poster I know you can be.

Tanking this season has been Donnie Walsh main purpose since the offseason.
His partner coach Dantoni....is doing all he can to help Walsh tank this season.

Many fans are stuck on stupid "wid dis 2010 Plan" as if mother-nature guranteed these fans two more years of living to watch the Knicks tank two more seasons.

To all Knick-fans.... Rookie SG-OJ Mayo was supposed to be in a Knick uniform at the start of training camp (SG-Mayo & SF-Chandler).

For every good thing Donnie Walsh has done for this Knick Team he turns around and do something real Dum and STUPID (afterward).

1) Hiring Dantoni.... then selecting SF-Gallinari in the draft as if the Knick roster needed a 5th SF, or a weak defenseless PF to take playingtime away from David Lee. Gallinari is the Knicks 2010 Project-Problem.

2) Signing Duhon.... then signing Roberson and trading Balkman for a 2nd round pick.

3) Keeping a healthy running Marbury for his final season plus having him accept to comming off the bench (to win the 6th-Man award or the most improve player this season).....then go and DNP Marbury every game of the regular season.

4) Finally! trading Crawful off the Knicks roster....then trading Zach Randolph the moment his trade value start to rise to an average decent player in the league for two Bum Players that spell "TANKING-Season" Tim Thomas & Mobley.

Lets do our Homework....the best seasons Mobley had in the NBA was with Steve Franchise on the Houston Rockets....it was widely known that Francis & Marbury did not click together or get along well as Knick teammates as a Backcourt tandem which became Francis last chance as a 30 mpg player (he was traded and waived to become a 3rd tier PG).
Why would Mobley come to the N.Y. Knicks to click with Marbury in the backcourt when Marbury & Isiah was the guys who help ruin his "Homeboy Francis" NBA career...

If Mobley no longer can play, the Knicks will look to add a guard. Walsh has a trade exception from the Renaldo Balkman deal with Denver that is worth approximately $1 million. The Knicks could use that to acquire Portland's Sergio Rodriguez or Sacramento's Quincy Douby.

http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/b...8-12-06_shorthanded_knicks_keep_guard_up.html

Dont know, im not a fan of any of these, but they are both young, so may figure out the game with more minutes.
I think Rodriguez would be better for us if we choose between these two, since they are both small and lean, didnt shoot too well in nba, but Rodriguez at least has PG skills.
