is that the dude a-rab?...cause one of his boys came out in one of his songs with that name loll, they both suck, and should have never gotten a record deal..
I'm not too familiar with their names but I remember that he had a song called "get silly" (???), not sure though. At night that ***** doesn't have to run from the cops, all he has to do is close his eyes lol
ROFLMAO , soulja boy should just stop rapping cause with every song he makes he's making himself worse and worse, at this point he's so bad he cant possibly get any worse he's horrible
Its funny how these fake rappers can put out albums because they're commercial and a guy like Q-tip makes an album (kammal the abstract) and does not even drop because its "uncommercial". I was listenning to some tracks on "kammal the abstract" (made in 2000) and I was amazed. It had all different types of sounds. A lot of jazz influenced beats and also some rock.
Q-Tip got some skill he's really underrated its a shame because he's a real artist and produces real ****, speaks the truth, while guys like Soulja Boy makes money for rapping about bapes , and doing the superman
Soulja boy is killin his own career. Hes nothing but a one hit wonder bitch.
BTW, have any of you guys seen this?

Sorry idk how to actually put it up on the post
But soulja boy has the guts to say that **** about Nas,
A fake ass mainstream bitch dissing one of the greatest, if not the greatest....
i think Soulja Boy should listen to "ether" before trying to diss nas.
Thanks for the post, street dreams(...are made of these/bitches on their knees for *****s with big cheese...), that idiot soulja boy just shows you the ignorance that many little kids have about rap music. Saying that he respect little wayne for saying that he's the greatest rapper alive...lmao. Just cuz that niqqa sold 1mil?! F*ck outta here! You can clearly see that Nas got to him because he talks about him during the whole video. Even when he changes topics, he still goes back to Nas at the end.
I would love to see that, but I know Nas doesn't want to battle wack ass rappers. The thing is, that's the only way to stop bad rappers from rapping. Ending their career.
thats what i think too. NaS would never waste his time on a lil wack ass rapper like soulja boy
Even putting the two in the same sentence is like comparing Channing Frye to Patrick Ewing lol.
I have a 14-year old lady friend (I'm 14 myself) and shes keeps telling me how much she loves Lil Wayne, Flo Rida, and that crap,
and i keep telling her i love NaS, Raekwon, Mos Def, Notorious BIG, etc...
and other than Biggie, she's like "Whoo?"
it disgusts me the mainstream feeds teenagers garbage. and i consider myself one of very few that know ACTUAL hiphop.
There are local MCs you'll find on your local street corner that **** all over Wayne and Soulja.
The problem is, apparently, the realness DOESN't appeal to the "mainstream media"
-sigh-
Craziness. We go from talking about how hiphop has influenced us to how hiphop is dead. And im right in the middle of it.
i guess thats my welcome to the forum!
nas is right though, hiphop is dead (or ina coma). All we gotta to is keep it real, dont let the garbage find its way into yo mp3s.
oooo, soulja boy and lil wayne sold a mil each. SO WHAT?!
record sales only take you so far. its the realness in your heart that does it.
Now back to the original topic. How has music influenced me? Well, music saves my life. Music gives you something to go to, something to relax you, something to pump you up, something to find closure, to take your mind off the world, and so on and so forth. If you want to listen to people singing about licking lollipops and gettin low in the club, thats ok, i dont hate. I'm just saying, that isn't what hiphop is. If you talk about life, tell stories, and use that amazing lyrical flow that only a certain few have mastered, then i'm DEFINITELY feeling ya. Ever hear of "Get By" by Talib Kweli?

The chorus of that song is what i try to live by every day.
This morning, I woke up
Feeling brand new I jumped up
Feeling my highs, and my lows
In my soul, and my goals
Just to stop smokin, and stop drinkin
But I've been thinkin - I've got my reasons
Just to get by
now THAT is what i consider realness.
thoughts?
