question

I have a question for Mr. Marbury, is he currently playing in the NBA? If the answer is NO then who cares about him. Go away.

Its sad that a man of Marbury's experience, talent, skills and overall attributes that he isn't playing in the best league in the world.
Its unfair.
Let the man free...let him play.
Dude talent wise, is up there amongst all the PG's in the NBA.
In the most efficient system, he's an all star PG...he has all star talent and skill.
Marbury's career took a set back when they made Curry and Crawford the primary option.

Spursfag busted and owned by Starbury.

Scott (Austin, TX) aka SPURSFAG:
The rap on you is that you have been a selfish player. How would you respond to that comment? How do you think your teammates would respond?

Stephon Marbury: (4:51 PM ET ) I do not know why people would say that. I do not shoot the ball 25 times a night. I have averaged 8 assists throughout my career. I was always the person that was basically the blame guy and I understand that comes from being the highest paid player. But look at the number of shots per game taken in my career and you will see it is not that many. So I do not believe I am a selfish player. I go on the court to win and that is it.

OWNED!!!

Anthony (New York): What will you do after your basketball career is over

Stephon Marbury: (5:01 PM ET ) I am a business man. I love real estate and my sneaker company, keep up with the Starbury brand. I am a philanthropist. I like going to charity events and helping people. I like speaking to young kids and telling them they can get out of the ghetto. I also want to go back to school and get my degree. And I want to challenge myself in life to be better every day.

What a selfish man, right?

he doesn't get it

This guy and most of the Marb-lovers at this site just don't get it. Just about everyone who has ever played with this guy hate him. He played in the pre-season to showcase him to other teams. No one had the salary fit or was stupid enough to take this guy. Had D'Antoni played him when the season began he would have lost the entire team. Therefore, he sits. If Marbury wasn't such a baby and if he was smart enough to have an agent, he would have made the Knicks a real buyout offer. Since the Knicks have to pay virtually his entire salary, they have opted to keep him in limbo. Good. They should wait until 3/2 and release him. Then he can go and play with the Celtics. Since by his own admission, no Celtic has spoken to him, after his month and a half with them is over, I'm certain they will hate him too. Then off to Europe for the 2009/10 season.

Who hates him? KG has said he would like to play with him again. Most of his teammates actually love him. When Barbosa first came to this country when Starbury was on the suns, Starbury bought him a car. Barbosa was upset when he got traded. This crap about his teammates hating him is myth.

Why should he take less money? The Knicks are the ones who want him gone, even though he came into shape and was willing to come off the bench. There the ones who want him gone, so they should pay him what he is owed on his contract.

The Celtics aren't the only ones interested. Mark Cuban has openly stated that he would persue Marbury. Many other teams will want to sign a player of his talent.

kg said that marbury now is a different marbury from back then as well.

Talk is cheap. When he is finally freed we'll see who takes him and we'll see how it plays out. My bet is that it will end the same as in Minn, Phoenix, NJ and NY.

Yo joe, don't stress it too much. He's not even part of the team anymore. Just wish the man well and move on.
