Larry Hughes is a straight up bum, nut, horrible player. New York New York once said we should trade Craw for him, and that was straight up crazy. Even metro said it was bad, and he hates Craw.
If D'Antoni's smart, he'll keep his minutes down to a minimum.
we need to give some time. they had one practice together so naturally they wont have good chemistry yet. Nate and Duhon thought they had to step up and take over where that isnt duhon's game and nate made bad decisions in the fourth.
they barely practiced with the team, and Hughes hasn't played in a while, neither has Wilcox, if you remember Harrington wasn't all that great when he came over took a couple of games to get in his rhythm. once Hughes has his game legs back he'll be good for us, and Wilcox was decent but at times he too seemed lagging on offense all with time.
tough loss but it was one of those game we were going to lose, no matter how close we made it we couldn't grab momentum and go on a run.
hopefully we come back with a win vs. Indy tomorrow, why wasn't Chandler part of our offense ? he needs to be more involved.
good thing the bulls lost today so they didnt gain on us. we need to get a run going
Larry Hughes has been in the league for 10 years, and he's played horribly throughout. If you've seen him on the cavs, or on the bulls, you've seen how he can't hit a shot for his life, as well as how selfish he is. He's not going to change with practice. But, if you want to think he will, feel free.
As for his defense being better than Crawford Jayj, please... that's ludicrous. Crawford is about 100 times better than Hughes. Lebron was begging for Crawford, while he still had Hughes on his team.
Anyway, go ahead and wait... dude was benched for a reason. He will mess us up, as well. Just look at how he was jacking up bad shots, today.
Hughes was first team all defense, and he lead the league in steals. Crawford was a terrible defender, you can't compare the 2 defensively.
I see Wilcox and Hughes fitting in very well...
Larry is rusty and 10x better defender than Crawford. We just need to gel and he threw up some bad shots to get back into the swing. Im not worried about it.
Look for him to come off the bench and guard the opponents best wing man especially since Wilcox should take Jeffries minutes.
I know D'Antoni likes Duhon to start and set the pace but if N8 can help going nut he should start and bring Duhon and Hughes off the bench.
This was not an easy LOSS to accept....especially after a 30 point win vs the same team 48 hours ago....it shows the Raptors are a better suited Post Season team than we are.
And believe me that is not a good sign.
1) It was an early morning away game
2) We added two new players in the rotation
3) We experimented in the first half....annd in the second half too
4) We did not have a game-plan or familiar chemistry players on the court together
A) If we were going to add Hughes and Wilcox into our rotation to become familiar with our game-plan (win or lose) than we should not have had both on the court at the same time unless it was garbage time.
B) Our starting lineup should have consist of Duhon, Q.Rich, Al, Jeff, and Lee
C) Our Bench players should have been Nate, Chandler, and Gallo
D) All of Hughes playingtime should've been paired with Jefferies (ex-teammate)
E) All of Wilcox playingtime should've been paired with Lee (same C/F position)
Larry Hughes is the only natural SG on our roster....he will be challenging Q.Rich and Chandler for SG playingtime....Q.Rich, Chandler, Jefferies, and Gallo is challenging Al Harrington for SF playingtime....Harrington, Chandler, Jefferies, and Wilcox are challenging Lee for PF-playingtime....Wilcox and Jefferies are challenging Lee for playingtime at the Center spot.
This is our Knick Roster for now....inwhich I am giving them the next 10 games to get the 10-Rotation of players all on the same-page (7-3) or (6-4).
