    From the ESPN Weekend Dime:

Sixth Man Award, Two Trimesters In

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ], [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] The most feared sixth man in the game and the likely winner of this award in the spring both reside in the Southwest Division. But both [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] (shin) and [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] (hand) are injured, too.
So we're adopting the same approach here that we used in the preceding MIP discussion, focusing more specifically on this chunk of 27 (or so) games so we can recognize little Nate's monster February.
The combination of Robinson's five 30-point games this month, including a 41-pointer against Indiana, along with the Knicks' pesky presence in the race for a playoff berth in the East make him the most legit choice for the season's middle third. And we say so even when the sixth-man field has no shortage of recognizable names -- [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] -- and when it would be even deeper if not for the injuries in Lakerland and Milwaukee that have forced [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] back into starting jobs.
Yet you can't expect to see Robinson that high in April, provided that the two Texas supersubs are back reasonably soon. Ginobili ranks as one of the greatest game-changers off the bench in NBA history and will always be favored for this award. Terry, meanwhile, is having his best scoring season in a decade as a pro (19.9 ppg) coming off the bench for the Mavs. So the rim gets raised in a big way for Krypto-Nate when those two return.

If we had Ginobili, he'd be an instant All NBA 2nd team player. I'd take N8 over Terry in an epileptic fit.

It'd be great to take away a trophy for N8 & the team. Especially if he can be used to lure some not so diminutive player of a similar game come trade time (never really been a fan). ie: The Blazers Outlaw and (or) Fernandez. Ballers; the pair of 'em!

If Nate wins 6th man his price tag immediately jumps up. On the flipside it def makes him more marketable in a trade and may help you land a better player. Its kinda a double edged sword depending on if you want him back next year.

    Precisely...

In my case, it's a win win. I'd love to see it happen.

I hope nate does receive the award because he is having an outstanding year coming off the bench. The fearlessness that he brings is one of a kind.

Nate deserves it he's been on a tear lately and few players in the NBA have matched his play over the last month.

we must resign him, elite 6th men are hard to find.

is it just me or did Larry take a shot at Nate the other day when discussing the 6th man award? He did'nt know that there IS an award. Seems shady and we know he's a master at masking his words...
