Reasons Lebron will not be a Knick in 2010/11 season.

*The Cavs will probably get to NBA finals this year and possibly win 2008/09.
*The Knicks were terrible.
*The Cavs will probably be in a similar position next year 2009/10.
*The Knicks will probably be in a similar situation, maybe eeking into the playoffs to be road kill (home or away) for Lebron James and crew.
*As much as NY and LA are the most popular cities in America and possibly the world, he seems to be doing fine marketing himself across the nation and world.
*He has transcended the need for NY media, because we cover his everymove anyway. He's already one of the hottest(not in gay way) endorsment figures in America and elsewhere.
*Basically it the money will be the same here or in clevland, the popularity is the same. The Coverage will be the same.
the only thing he will be concerened with is a winning team and we are behind the 8 ball on that one.

*There is a likely chance that we will get lebron when he is old and not as valuable, but not in 2010/11.

We'll get someone, just not him. We'll probably over pay for some guys and be stuck with another marbury situation and thats my optimist talking.

I'm not really sweating it. So we don't get him, all is not lost. Having cap flexibility is a must to sign good players. Just by having room we will have a much greater ability to get good players. This isn't an all or nothing thing. This is a plan that benefits us either way.

Looking at a year from now, you really think Cleveland without Lebron is more attractive than New York is? Cleveland a year from now - Ilgauskas/Wallace will be FA and in their mid 30's. The rest of the team is a bunch of role players that most teams can match. The knicks with Chandler, Gallinari, Lee, Robinson, 1st round 2009 pick is as attractive to Lebron as Mo Williams and Varajeo.

Winning has nothing to do with Lebron James' decision since he will win anywhere. Money has nothing to do with it since he will get the max contract anywhere.

The only thing that matters is what is more important comfort in his hometown in Cleveland, or what is best for the NBA and that is to play in NY. I think he'll choose whats best for the league and when hes old, he can retire and stay in Cleveland.

Lebron James will sign with the Knicks. Whether he wins a ring this year and the next. New York will have the proper pieces in place by 2010. I don't think Lebron passes the chance of playing for New York. That will be the biggest thing in 2010. Biggest news. Lebron will be a Knick!
