Nate Robinson is trying to find his way to Portland, but the feeling might not be reciprocated by the Blazers. "Nate?s been telling people he doesn?t feel he?ll be around New York much longer," a source told Tommy Dee. "He wants Portland, he wants to go closer to home."
There is currently no interest from Portland in signing Robinson to an offer sheet, according to another source.
The Blazers are focusing their search on a veteran point guard.

Man, if we could weasel Fernandez for Nate I'd be so stoked!
Never gonna happen tho.

Instead, we should offer N8 (imo) to acquire a higher picked player once the sign and trade has come around. Thabeet or Rubio would be brilliant. They'll def be 2 & 3 now LAC have spoiled the suspicion on who they'll pick.

Someone said on here recently that N8 is a better passer than Rubio!?? WTF? You'll find out in about 5 months that's chronic b.s.

Three words: Sign and Trade!

Jared Bayless 2.5 million
Frye (to make the numbers work) 4.2 mill

for
Nate 7 million

Nate wanting and saying he thinks he is out in NY only strengthens my argument that we should have just traded Nate w/ Jefferies at the trade deadline.

But, this deal gives us a combo gaurd off the bench who has a much lower price tag than what Nate will come with to keep him. Frye obviously stays no longer than this year, and just replaces Wilcox on the bench, his contract could be potential trade bait.

With all the strong rumors floating around in N.Y. media about the Knicks drafting Stephen Curry with the 8th pick....N.Y. media really wants Nate's opinion on this pick. So Nate did the best thing by telling friends the number one team he would be happy to accept an offer-sheet from.
Nate has the talent to open up the middle for all Portlands bigmen.

The Knicks cant afford to match any offer-sheet on Nate if they select Stephen Curry in this draft, unless the Knicks want 3 small guards in next season rotation.
And everyone knows I will laugh while bashing the stupidity of our new regime all next season.

If we must let Nate go.. lets try and work a sign and trade with the Bazers where we'd get Greg Oden back for Nate.. or Pryzbilla.

The main topic here lies in Nate and Lee....along with who we draft with the 8th pick.
We must admit Nate & Duhon did a very decent job for 50 straight games as our only guards this season. Things went down hill in our playoff race when we aquired SG-Larry Hughes to be the 3rd guard in the rotation.
It sure will be sad losing Nate's speed & energy off the bench (which is hard to replace).
Will we be happy with Hughes & Q.Rich at the SG position next season????

When it comes to Lee....he is a FA that must be resigned for two important reasons, his complimentary play is decent backing-up the Center & PF position.
We just need a decent natural Center & PF on our roster for Lee to backup.
The Curry & Zach should've been Tyson Chandler & Frye with Lee as the 3rd Bigman.
