"Remember back in the days, when niqqaz had waves, gazelle shades and corn braids"...I started searching for Rap Music that was meaningful. I Had just gotten out of high school (2002) and all I was hearing on the radio was 50 cent, nelly, and BS like that. The times of true Emcee-ing were long gone, yet I was not aware were it had gone. Every now and then I would hear and old-school classic being played, and wondered "who is that? What album did it come from?"





Greatest Rap Albums of All-Time (in no particular order...except for number 1):





1- Illmatic- Nas








Coming out of Queens, NY, Nasir Jones (aka Nas, Nasty Nas, Nas Escobar, Nastradamus), created one of the best, if not THE best, albums of all time. "Illmatic" came out in the golden era of rap (early 1990's) and it is said to be the



Best songs on the album: All of 'em!!! But if I had to choose:

I live in Astoria, about 5 minutes from QB, so I have love for all the folks that come out of The Bridge. One of my favorite posse cuts is Symphony, when Marley put together the Juice Crew All-Stars and they all just kicked it for 6 minutes straight!

If we're talking classics, you have to do "Paid In Full" - Eric & Ra.

I have Lifestyles ova da poor and dangerous by Big L....he rips it up in that album.

I only know a few songs by Tribe Called Quest so i'll check out that album........Tupac i love as well...deep lyrics always get my attention.

Rakim i know is a legend but i only heard a couple songs by him.
