    Default Knicks Nightmare

Does anyone have an insider access to espn.com ?
I see this "Knicks nightmare" article on the front page since 2 days now and I can't read it because of the restricted access and it really pisses me off now.

What the hell are they talking about ?
Is having tons of cap space by july 2010 a nightmare ? I don't think so.

Keep up the good work Donnie.
    Go Knicks.

It could become a nightmare if all the good free agents re sign with their respected NBA teams and the Knicks enter the 2010-2011 season with almost the same roster that they have now.

Well, I don't believe we are gonna land a neither a LeBron nor a Wade, especially not Wade, he seems light years away from considering playing for us but we will have tons of cap, can't we find some 2nd zone FA ?? There are tons of names available in july 2010, I'm getting desperate for some playoff apparence, I can't stand losing seasons anymore.

I can't wait to shut all the critics down when we are making the playoffs once again.

I remember watching Dwayne Wade in an interview on one of the local sports networks in New York and the interviewer told him that the Knicks were freeing up cap space to possibly sign him, he reacted to the statement with a chuckle, kind of like the way Chris Bosh reacted in that video about playing for the Knicks.

I would have to agree with you that Dwayne Wade doesn't seem like the type that would be in love with the idea of playing in Madison Square Garden. He has a better chance at either finishing his career with Miami or playing with the Bulls than he does in becoming a Knick.

Outside of Lebron and Wade the only two class 2010 free agents that I see Donnie Walsh coveting are Chris Bosh and Joe Johnson. The Knicks would probably win 50 games a season with one of those two on their team but would probably be a second round playoff team.

If the Knicks don't sign Sessions before the start of the 2009-2010 then I don't see the point in trying to get the best out of a mediocre group of players in order to appear attractive enough to Lebron James or any superstar free agent.

Yeah Wade.... I think this guy is just wasting his carrer in Miami. Each time I see a highlight of him the Miami arena is half empty ! If I were the 2nd best bball player on earth I'd like to play my heart out before a packed arena which know basketball every night. Well I guess the south beach's sun is more important to him than a full arena.... play in a 2nd round playoff team all your carrer if you fancy that. Your suntan will be ok but you will have just one ring baby. Shaq ain't coming by south beach no more.
Of course I'm a die hard Knick fan so I guess I'm definitely not objective on the subject.

Of course I'd prefere being a serious contender every year but I would'nt mind being a 50-win team with Joe Johnson, it would be like breath of fresh air to watch some PO game in may and stop being the laughing stock of the league.

As for signing sessions, I think the cap is more important. This whole "making an attractive product on the floor to lure some good FA" is making me laugh.
Boston wasn't attractive at all when they had the worst record of league, but they manage to sign and trade and they become the best in one season.
With all this cap we can put a terrific product on the floor in only one summer of free agency. LeBron knows that if he comes other FA wil queue in front of MSG to play with him. No need to ba attractive before that. The rebuilding mode that we are following should the attaction by itself.

Saban: "I guess I have to say it. I'm not going to be the Alabama coach. ... I don't control what people say. I don't control what people put on dot-com or anything else. So I'm just telling you there's no significance, in my opinion, about this, about me, about any interest that I have in anything other than being the coach here."

    Fast forward a two months

Saban: "What I realized in the last two years is that we love college coaching because of the ability that it gives you to affect people, young people. ... If I knew that my heart was someplace else in what I wanted to do, I don't think it would be fair to the [Dolphins] organization if I stayed."

The last quote is during his press conference introducing him as coach of Alabama!

Point Being....take anything that is said in Sports with a huge grain of salt! D-Wade is a classy player, he extinguishes the rumors so he does not have to answer questions about it in every Press Conference (like Lebron) and maybe his heart is in Mia. but, as shown from the Nick Saban example from above ,hearts can change quickly with money and an opportunity to win!

Bosh may have laughed now but has there been an offer made to him? Watch him try to laugh off a max deal offer! Bring in another superstar and you'll see where D-Wade's heart really is. Because truth be told why hasnt he or Bosh signed an extension yet if they love being w/ their current franchises ala Toney Parker?

At least I respect Lebron's honesty about considering leaving The Cavs.
