After the NY Knicks bombed Madison Square Garden against the Dallas Mavericks with one of their massive stinkers in Knick history, NBA commissioner David Stern decided to lower the prices of Knick jerseys from $80 all the way down to $8 dollars. It was the right move according to many since the NBA was in danger of losing millions of dollars due to the poor play of the Knicks. When asked by reporters why this move hadn't been made much earlier Mr.Stern pessimistically answered,"I really thought that the Knicks were going to compete this season and give their fans the hope of making the playoffs but after watching them tank a game on their home court by more than 50 points this led me to dramatically cut down the price of their jerseys. These kind of performances are embarrassing and unacceptable to the NBA and to the fans of NY.No costumer should be throwing away their hard earned money on a jersey of a team that doesn't belong in the NBA." When you thought that the Isiah Thomas days of losing 59 games throughout the course of an 82 game season were a distant memory the NY Knicks decided to resuscitate the ghosts of their recent past on Sunday by being outscored 69-35 in the second half. The worst thing about this devastating loss was that it knocked them another half game behind the 8th seeded Chicago Bulls. The Knicks will be looking to redeem themselves on Tuesday night when they go up against a Minnesota team that are just as dreadful as they are.

Losing that bad sucks.. But it still only counts as one game in the standings...
