Default Grizzlies Will Match Any Offer Gay Receives

Grizzlies owner Michael Heisley told a group of season ticket holders that the team plans to match any offer Rudy Gay receives this summer.

Gay will be a restricted free agent, meaning that Memphis has the right to match any offer sheet he signs.

Heisley spoke before Tuesday's game against the Bulls at the team's annual "State of the Franchise" Chalk Talk where season ticket holders could ask questions.

I'm sure they have a limit. But if Lebron, Wade, Johnson, Bosh and Amare all sign somewhere else hopefully we won't be forced to offer Gay a max contract just to get someone.

How much is too much for Rudy Gay?

I think Gay will be signed for more than he is worth...

We have enough Small forwards we don't need an upgrade there we just need development from Chandler and Gallinari.

    We NEED a shotblocking center
