Racism in the NBA

And however myopic that may sound, there are haters. One prominent Western Conference coach pulled a reporter aside last year to say he was happy to see the Spurs and the Mavericks competing in the conference finals because the teams "are what basketball is supposed to be about." Asked what he meant, the coach cited the small number of players on San Antonio and Dallas with tattoos and implied that players with tattoos are more likely to be black and individualistic and, thus, less coachable.

racism is unjust....

That is sad but it shouldn't really be surprising because, unfortunately, narrow minded people are everywhere. And of course they won't reveal the coach's name because there must have been some comfort level for this coach to reveal something like this to a reporter.

Good find on the article Rady.

Based on the recent string of MAJOR newspapers who had writers who admitted to making up stories ,I have now become even more distrustful of unsubstantiated claims.Look how the US is reporting the war.We will never know the true death toll cuz US wont allow it to be known.
