Ive known 4 a while now that we were in good shape this offseason. But I think ive just started to realize what donnie has actually done here. We were in salary cap hell, and Donnie somehow flipped it right before our eyes in the course of a couple years. He came in, told us what he planned to do, and carried it out better than any of us expected he could. im going to b completely honest. I thought it was impossible for us to be where we are now. Sure we had to suffer through 2 losing seasons but if we didnt do it this way, we'd b mediocre at best for years to come. Now we can actually get to the promise land. Donnie has brought us something we've not had for as long as i can remember... options. Thanks Donnie. Here's to tthe promises of a successful tommorrow:beer: :smokin::smokin:

possibly?

this may seem crazy but does anyone else think that we might be able to sign and trade curry goat to the craptors for bosh? i mean, its better than them losing him for absolutely nothing. at least in this scenario, they receive a big expiring contract. nd we would still have enough room to sign another max and trade lee for CP3. that would leave us with CP3,Bosh and.... LeBron??? Feel free to shoot me down if im wrong.:2cents:

What he's been able to do with salary caps and what not has been nothing short of amazing.. he has helped get this franchise out of a bad place, regardless of who we sign/don't sign this summer. that much is certain..

While it's somewhat easy to dump salaries when you aren't concerned with winning, he was able to do it in the 'knick' of time, with this summer upon us..

I am getting a bit more nervous as we get nearer though... the 'big names' that we all speculated about moving around are giving the feeling that perhaps they won't be coming here... i mean Wade isn't going anywhere..James, who knows what will happen... Bosh, of late the popular word is that he's likely going to Miami... that leaves who, Joe Johnson and maybe Amar'e Stat.. to think our whole coming season will be determined around whether JJ and or Amar'e decide to leave, or if James stays/go is going to be stressful for sure... It's going to be crushing if/when we see the 'big names' slowly start to extend and the dream turn into a 'not as expected' reality..

though the opportunities are there, how the cards fall, we'll see... Donnie will do all that a guy in is position can possibly do this offseason, and will do it better than anyone else... but it's going to come down to the few big names and what they do... which is a pretty scary / nervous thing to watch unfold for us knicks fans..

buckle in.

if that were to happen i wouldn't wacth basketball any more it would be pretty boring because we all know if cp3 bosh lebron on same team they will win everytime ....now cp3 and bosh sounds better .....but hey it wouldn't hurt to DREAM

What did you think Donnie Walsh was doing before it hit you?

From what I've seen, Donnie is attempting to give D'antoni the players he wants for his system. So i think u;timately they are going to go after players that exemplify D'ant's system. You probably won't see many half-court talents coming in. And probably no defensive specialists either....

Infer what you want about that but that is how i see it based on the end of the season press conference that D'ant and Donnie held together to talk about their plans for the offseason.

Sorry bud... but this isnt isaiah running the raptors otherwise i'd say there was a chance ... but colangelo is not gonna trade one of the big 3 free agents for trash... bosh is not to going hurt the Raps, and leave for nothing 30 Million reasons why he isn't... stated that he would work with Brian respects him too much. Plus Brian knows what you have in terms of trade value and for Bosh you dont have anything remotely in the same stratashpere as Bosh, otherwise people on this board would not keep mentioning him in every new thread, D lee very good but a max guy he ain't... and whatever you may feel... in order to get bosh he's gonning require a max contract whether he's worth it thats debateble, but the going rate for Bosh is max money.... and compared to Chicago with a stud in Rose to play with , or Miami to play with Wade, you just dont have what it takes to lure guys who want to to win a championship sooner rather than later 3-5 years is what NYK is looking without LBJ, also LA could be a darkhorse in this with Bynum as potential trade... so unless you get LBJ...it's ova for the big three with regards to your team... wait for melo, draft a pg then maybe you'll land someone three years from now.

No star is going to come here alone, everyone knows that.. unless perhaps you're LeBron... if we want to get Bosh, or any other big name, were going to have to show them we have others coming with them... nothings changed..
