    Default Recommend Some Rap

No Lil' Wayne stuff, none of that. I'd like to hear some good rap, old school, whatever. Some serious ones, and some fun ones (like Will Smith, I don't mean arrogance about how rich they are.

So yeah, I like a few rappers/rap groups, I'd like to know more from New Yorkers' tastes.

I think we had a thread similar to this, but I'll still post

I'm an old-school fanatic, so I'll give you some albums I think are the best in my opinion..

These albums don't have ****ty songs, so you'll most likely enjoy every track..

    Nas- Illmatic

    Jay-Z- Reasonable Doubt

    AZ- Doe or Die

    Notorious B.I.G.- Ready to Die

A Tribe Called Quest- The Low End Theory

    Tupac- Strictly for my N.I.G.G.A.Z.

    Nas- It Was Written

    Wu-tang Clan- 36 Chambers

Big L- Lifestylez Ov Da Poor and Dangerous

    Mobb Deep- The Infamous

The City of New York this past June proclaimed June as NBHHCM 2010 (National Basketball & Hip-Hop Culture Month). New York is the "Capital" to hoops and hip-hop culture in America.
