Benchwarmer
The knicks were lacking in two maybe three ways the center point guard and play maker if we get brenden haywood for a starter and frye as a bench player with barron there you have the center taken care of then add on luke ridnour at point with Douglas as back up or even farmar instead of ridnour resign lee lee is a franchise player then add chandler and gallo all three have a scoring punch

Rotation player
I don't have any idea ... except that the knicks will not get a top tier (WADE, LEBRON, BOSH, DIRK) free agent. I'll be content with the Knicks not overpaying 2nd tier talents like Amare, Johnson, Boozer, or Lee.

Also there is enough space under the cap to get nice role players like Frye, Reddick, Livingston, Josh Howard and Brendan Hayword..

We'll see what happens

New York Knicks

Arroyo/Douglas/Telfair
James/Walker
Gallo/Chandler
Lee/Kurt/
Tyrus/Shaq/Barron

Arroyo - good veteran pass first PG
Telfair - can compete for a starting position, will make Douglas and Arroyo play harder, give some competition, NY product, good depth.
James - obviously.
Kurt Thomas - defensive veteran. We need post defense, and we need more rebounding. Kurt Thomas is a Knicks legend, big move here.
Tyrus Thomas, the anti David Thomas...shot blocker, extremely explosive, has range on his shot, will take pressure off Lee, both can compliment each other well for 4-5 years....Tyrus is still young and developing into a more aware player.
Shaq - He's following James, and whenever Shaq goes, a championship follows.
