MEMPHIS, TN ? Memphis police are investigating the body of a man who was found in Southeast Memphis and a source tells Eyewitness News that is Lorenzen Wright.

According to sources, the body was found in the wooded area of Hacks Cross and Winchester Road. It appears, sources say he had been shot and it may be self-inflected.

Germantown police say a 911 call has been turned over to Memphis police in connection to this investigation.

Just saw this. Sad.

Looks like it was a murder and not suicide. Seems he called 911 and the 911 dispatcher heard several shots before the call ended. RIP LW.

Damn, this is sad news. I remember last year how everybody in Romania announced him as the future center of one of our first division teams but the deal went off apparently.
