Just in case the knicks dont sign a big time player like Rasheed, Dampier, Crawford or Camby who do you think they should go for. I can think of 5-6 good ones off the top of my head what do you think.
1. Michael Doleac- Decent player, a likeable player in New York. Soft hands, and shooting touch, not much of a defensive speacialist but can draw the occasional charge.
2. Kareem Rush- An unsung hero in the playoffs for the lakers. He hit like 4 threes against the T wolves to put them away.
3. Stephen Jackson- Averaged 24 points in the second half of the year. He is starting to prove himself in the NBA, although he does remind me of Antoine Walker the way he jacks up shots, and a bit cocky, not my first choice if I were Isiah.
4. Bob Sura- Started really playing well with the hawks at the end of the year almost got 3 straight triple doubles in a row. A bit undersized for the shooting gaurd spot but if you give him daylight he can hit.
5. Antonio Mcdyess- Started to show people he could still play in Phoenix, he can still hit the open jumper, not sure about the leaping ability but I think he has some unfinished business in New York and he might want to come back.
6. Stromile Swift- Extremely good shot blocker, very athletic, great dunker (imagine marbury throwing alley oops to Stro) undersized for center position but makes up for it in length of arms. Needs to build a little more in my opinion.
These are some candidates who could sign for half the MLE or something small like that, this is only if we can't get the big time players.
