Any reason why NYK wont entertain notion to sign Eric Dampier?

Given how OBVIOUS it is that Turiaf is a difference-maker for this team, and how his energy-presence s almost impossible to make up for when he's not playing....

You would think the role he serves, rebounding and interior defense, would WAKE PEOPLE UP. So, instead of having Rautins, Mason, Williams on the team, wouldn't it be wise to get another BIG in here to supplant Turiaf at times, and fill-in when he's not playing.

E-Dampier anyone? He would mean more wins than Roger freaking Mason.

Knicks could use another rebounding, defensive-minded interior BIG on the roster. The impact Turiaf has further demonstrates that need.

No use having Rautins-Mason-Williams taking up space. Especially now with Azu and Curry close to returning.

Dampier might suck but he's better than Mozgov. He's useful.

Dampier isn't the man we need. he'll ask for too much money and isn't good enough anymore to be effective. we'd be better off scouring D-leaguers and prospects, much like how we brought in Barron last year.

Mozgov is pretty raw and needs more time to get into the NBA game. Giving turiaf a decent backup is important for our depth. More then a mason jr/rautins bench can provide.

2 Reasons!

1.Isiah
2.Thomas

This horrible contract that Dampier is just finishing playing out was nearly on our payroll if Isiah had his way!

That would be like The Thunder (formely The Sonics) bringing in Jerome James!

If you dodge a bullet once why stand in front of the gun again!

Eric Dampier sucks. There's a reason why Dirk Nowitzki called him out in public for sucking so much, during the 2006 playoffs.

The Knicks are better off with Eddy Curry. That's how much he sucks.

I havnt mention Eric Dampier since he was with GSW.
Dampier would be a great asset for the Knicks this season to develope Mozgov fundamentals into a NBA center. As for playingtime he would be decent for 5 to 7 minute stretches per quarter (halfcourt settings).
Dampier presence could be lethal without scoring or rebounding, he is a moving big body in the paint.

Turiaf knows how to play the center position to help us win some games, but his defense will keep him in foul trouble, plus he is 40% at making a layup.

Eddie Curry knows Dantoni's coaching has nothing to offer a bigman, especially a NBA center.
