The Knicks look to bounce back from a loss and try for their first five-game road winning streak in 10 seasons Sunday when they take on the Detroit Pistons.

New York (8-9) had its five-game overall win streak end with a 99-90 loss to Atlanta in a Saturday matinee at Madison Square Garden. The one o'clock start didn't agree with the Knicks, who fell behind by 10 after one quarter and 18 at the half.

IMO, It's a night to give Ronnie a rest. The Pistons interior game isn't spectacular, and he needs some time off with that arthritic knee. Give AR some of those minutes and see what our most athletic squad looks like: AR, STAT, Chandler, Fields and Cpt. Ray
.

RELEASE RANDOLPH!

He has a height, length, athleticism, ball handling & shot blocking advantage over the entire Pistons front court

KEY TO VICTORY:

As always, defence. We can win the points battle reasonably easily against Detroit, but stomping on any momentum they attempt to gather is key in what should be a relatively easy victory for us.

mmmmm... rack.

Pistons' Notable News:

Hamilton is less of a scorer this season than in years past, averaging 12.9 points for his lowest mark since his 1999-00 rookie season with Washington. The Pistons used him as more of a playmaker Friday, and it paid off in a 103-89 win over Milwaukee, as he had nine of Detroit's season-high 28 assists.

The passing helped the Pistons place seven players in double figures, led by Rodney Stuckey's 18 points. Without a go-to superstar, Detroit is learning that unselfish play is the best strategy to employ going forward.

"We have a lot of talent on the team and when were sharing the ball and trying to make plays for each other, good things will happen and it showed tonight," Hamilton said.

The Pistons have been inconsistent on defense in splitting their last four games, allowing teams to shoot 53.9 percent, 38.5, 52.3 and 38.6 in succession. Coach John Kuester used a heavy dose of zone defense to limit the Bucks on Friday.

"We had three smalls in at that time," Kuester said. "We said hey listen let's see what happens with the zone and the players really enjoyed and did a great job today."

Using a smaller lineup may not be a good idea against a Knicks team that leads the league with 130 blocks.

GO KNICKS!

Yes I hope AR plays meaningful minutes.. And I don't see us losing this game. Knicks win.. hopefully by double digits if we can finally show killer instinct.

I hope Moz gets the extra time at C and Randolph should be getting his min. backing up Amare at the PF spot, not Wilson.... who has been playing great as of late, but is still not a PF but more of a SF or SG.

PF Randolph - + side of things , Good rebounder, Good shotblocker (Size 6'11"), and a much quicker than most PF's around the league.
- side , low BB IQ still may be lost in a new system.

PF Wilson - + side of things , Decent Size/Strength (6'8") , good slasher/driving ability, finishes at the rim, good man to man defender.
- side , low BB IQ , bad outside shot (not lately tho) that he shoots to much.

On a side note, Moz played pretty well once he fell into a grove, after being on the court a few min and adjusting to the way the game was going. Still makes dumb fouls, but show 110% effort all the time.

they need to teach AR to play like Dennis Rodman. Stop trying to make shots just do block shots, rebounds, dunks and easy layup.

but even more than that hold on to him as trade bait even if you don't play him he can be packaged later with someone to match salaries up.

Why don't try Gallinari at PF?

Felton
Fields
Chandler
Gallo
Amare

Why not?

Mozgov has been making small improvements as of late. Don`t worry about him, as long as he gets his minutes he will become a really good player for us.

As for Randolph he has to play, simple as that. How is a young inexperirnced player with huge talent supposed to improve and gain much needed experience if he doesn`t actually play. What good is it doing him to sit on the bench night in, night out and get no playing time?

The Knicks are Back
got a feeling we winning this one....now lets hope we win some ****in home games as well.

felt and stat will be key and will both have good games to lead us to victory they play more of a halfcourt defense and usually run man to man. but help is usually looming, so Felt and Stat have quick first steps and may get around the help defense and thats where their chemistry will show setting each other at the right spots and times. Gallo is huge tonight gotta have a good game, not 4 points

I don't think Knicks are really in a position to chalk up games against any team in this league as a W before they play they game.. As fans I know we are excited about having a better team this season.. But they are not world beaters by any means.. So u play your best players don't take the opposition for granted

Another thrilling final....

Amare deserves every cent of his contract.

STAT showed to be a true STUD this game.

Ref's really fckkkkkd us hard with that bogus 3sec violation.

Then Prince smacks in a jumper. smh.

Any thoughts on our final second possession in regulation?

Gallo had a pretty typical catch n shoot 3. Looked like a 40% type of shot. I was disgusted at first, since even STAT seemed indefensible to either making the bucket or getting fouled and then making a bucket.

No doubt, my biggest gripes w MDA are his in-game play-calling in spots following timeouts, or set plays like that.
