Sign of the times.

We are all likely familiar with the sign Jesus provided his followers concerning his second coming, in mathew 24; 3-14. Most nay sayers will say the sign that Jesus provided has always been happening in the world. And to an extent, they are correct. Except for the fact that all the events Jesus relayed, were grouped into one specific sign. Meaning that each of the references had to take place at the same time, which would then be the singular sign that Jesus has been enthroned as King in heaven, and the time alloted for the last days has begun. Biblical reference points to 1914 as the year this took place. The events within that time frame certainly give gleaming evidence that this is surely the case, and we have been livig in the last days for almost 100 years now.

But what stregnthens true Christian faith is what was said concerning the sign on verse 14. It reads

And the good news of the Kingdom will be preached in the entire inhabited earth, AND THEN THE END WILL COME.

The logical question one should ask then is, what exactly is the Good news? Well iys the same message Jesus and his apostles preached in their day. The truth about Jehovah, who is responsible for the way of the world, and what Jehovah plans to do about it. Jesus did it on a level higher, because his miracles performed showed without a doubt that Jehovah has the power to feed, heal, calm storms, raise the dead, strengthen faith. Today, miracles are not performed, but also they are not needed. We have the biblical accounts. All that is needed now is the preaching of the message, so people have a chance at life.

Jehovah has taken hold of his people as he has done throughout history, and has spearheaded the most thorough preaching work in human history the last 100 yrs or so. His witnesses have been preaching the same message Jesus started in the 1st century. But is it really being preached in the entire inhabited earth?

The NYT released an article sighting the worlds most read magazine. That magazine just so happens to be The Watchtower, published by none other than Jehovahs witnesses!

No they were not. The casualties within the last hundrwd years from war, famine, and pestilence has been way higher than any time. But the kicker is, the Kingdom message was not being preached durig the dark ages. And since it os part of the sign that Jesus gave that would mark his presence, then clearly the dark ages was not the time Jesus was enthroned. The kingdom message has to be preached for it to qualify as the sign. That was noy happening until about 1900's

Not percentage of population. Obviously there are more deaths now because there are 6 billion people on the planet. But as a percentage of the population, the Dark Ages were much, much worse. The Black Plague wiped out over 50% of Europe's population alone (over 100 million people in 1 year).

Higher population equals higher everything. I can also say there have never been as many happy people in the world as there have been in the last 100 years. That is a fact as well. Just because you are unhappy doesn't mean there aren't many very happy people living right now.

How do you know there haven't been other Christian religions preaching the same message? You can't say for certain. These things started to take place on a small scale in some intances if u read the book of acts, you can see some examples where the apostles warned people to stick to truth and not unfounded teachings. Jesus parable of the sower and harvest speaks on the farmer sowing good seeds, and then the enemy sowing weeds amongst the good good crop. And then there wou be a time where the weeds would be destroyed whem the harvest was ripe. That was speakin on his return as king in heaven.

Remember, Jehovah has allowed Satan rule over the world. That meams even affecting true worship in some ways. That is why the book of Daniel says the truth will become abundant in the end.

and yes, for awhile 7th day adventists shared very similar views to Jws. bit they started tobfall in line with the rest of Cristendom, and adopt false biblical teachings as doctrine. And they were not the ones in line with the biblical chronology that pointed to 1914 as the year Jesus was enthroned in heaven as King. Only Jehovahs witnesses go by this, and there is very good reason to put faith in it.

The percentage of population dying from disease, the average lifespan of the population, percent of poverty, percent of people dying in wars, percent of people living peaceful lives. These are the measures of a positive or negative society. Not a JW on an internet forum saying so without evidence. You can't just say things are worse because you want it to be.

If you can find a year in the last 100 years where over 100 million people died from disease alone in 1 year, I would like to know. Not even that many people died from the entire World War 2 conflict.

What exactly makes todays way of living great? The earth is polluted, people dont give a damn abt eachother, only themselves. The family structure is broken down, becauce of technology, we dont talk anymore, we text, further creating a social barrier beween ourselves. Wake up dude, we are one bad UN meeting away from ww3, the economy worldwide is stuggling, we still have aids. All these scientists out trying to disprove God, spend resource after resource on a missing link they wont find, while cancer amd aids run ramped. Man so smart, thy outsmart themselves.

Life itself is good. But the distractions of the devil, money, power, prestige, drugs, immorality, these are the things that are "good" in this world to people. The very same things that we have in abundance, kill us. Do u have hope for future generations? Real hope? Oh, I know.
