that is a loaded ass draft class.which is why i wouldn't be against dealing this lotto pick for a pick next year(non lotto protected obviously).

Depends on what's available at 8th, and if we can trade up. If we can get a guy like Tyreke Evans, I would be happy. Or if we can trade up and get Rubio, that would be great. Otherwise, it's a good idea to get a lotto pick next year. I want Greg Monroe, but by next year, he'll probably go top 5.

The Knicks don't have a 2010 first round pick. The Knicks traded it to the Suns, as part of the Marbury trade. The Suns traded the pick to the Jazz, so the Jazz have it.

This year's draft is pretty weak, so if the Knicks can trade their 2009 pick for a high 2010 pick, it wouldn't be bad. However, the Knicks should wait to see who's available at #8, before trading the pick.

Yet another reason why the Marbury trade was awful, ridiculous and totally not worth it.

yeah but that's tricky, unless they all ready have someone on the phone who they could pick for in exchange.

I'm intrigued by this paul george cat.he seems to have come out of nowhere.

every move zeke did trade wise was not worth it , other than trading kurt thomas for q rich and nate robinson, I only say that because thomas was at the end of his career and his contract is just now expiring, and nate robinson will either be a big part of our future or a valuable trade kicker once we resign him for 8 mil this summer.

teams dont ever trade this years lottery pick for next years for a reason

thats like saying your giving up before the preseason even kicks off

you dont know who will be in the lottery and who wont

washington may be a playoff team next year
raptors might be as well
nets might be as well
in the east you have no idea who or who will not make the 6-8 seeds year after year so trading away this years 8th pick for a hopeful lotttery pick next year might end up giving you the 17th pick in next years draft

the knicks should only trade this yrs pick for next if you are getting young valuable talent, or legitimate contact freedom i.e curry , jefferies, q rich packaged with it.

other than that, I feel that things will work out as planned, lee or nate one or the other will go depending on where and when and how we move them. and we will wind up drafting a decent player this year, and continuing our quest towards cap space for a big name FA in 2010.
