Azubuike, Balkman, Brewer, Carter, Douglas, Mason, Rautins, Walker, and the two Williams (LOL - we can call them the Williams brothers)
should strongly resent and dispel the notion that we have no depth; that we now have three or four players and garbage.
We do have a short-term problem at center, but we can expect to sign Earl Barron and/or a D league player soon. Also, there is still a day to make a trade for a center at the Kaman, Dalembert, Pryzbilla level.
Third, we do have the Eddy Curry trade exception - more than the MLE to use for a center, although this may have to wait until this summer. There is a strong possibility that the trade exception becomes even more valuable an asset after the new CBA since it may no longer exist except as a grandfathered exception.
Do not expect too much in the next 20 games, but watch out come the first playoff round, and definitely watch out next year. There is no reason to sit around waiting for summer 2012.
