Golden State is losing their GM too. If Leon Rose is smart he will bring him in and let him run things.
This is what every Knicks fan should be wishing for right now. Someone that knows what he’s doing.
This Great News… this reminds me of when Layton left, Daddy Walsh & Jungle Dan left and Isiah Thomas & Marley left. Those were all great moments after suffering through their rein of terror.

The NBA has already fired 3 head coaches that are ten times better than coach Thibs.
Tom Thibs coached 16 postseason games (7-9) for the Knicks, and all 16 playoff games the Knicks performance showed no coaching strategy. The Knicks players 1 on 2 creative-talent that won the 7 games (D.Rose, Brunson, Hart, Hartenstein, MitchRob, and sometime-Barrett) all the players Perry brang to the Knicks.

Not firing coach Thibs a couple of days after the 2-4 series vs Miami Heats, have me agreeing to Perry Firing.
Perry should've been looking for several veteran head coaches to hire to replace Mike Woodson leaving after winning COY award. And again after the Knicks 2021-22 season .. 37-45 record.

The 2022-23 Knicks (Players) have become a 2nd round playoff team.

The Knicks in-experience head coach stopped the Knicks from going to the ECF.

The last time Thibs & Rivers were coaching in a conference finals were when they were a tandem coaching pair for the Boston Celtics.

The Knicks 2023 offseason should be looking at getting an experience coaching-staff to take the Knicks to a conference finals series.

Kiya this team is light years close to the ECF. Clean house and bring in Myers and start rebuilding.
Maybe you can get Wiseman from Pistons.

Phil was only given 3 years to turn the team around. One of those years he didn’t have a 1st round pick. How many championships has his critics won?? None

The Knicks have sold-out 95% of their games in Madison Square Garden from the time the Knicks traded for Starbury in 2003-4 to now 2022-23. The Knicks have two decades of sold-out crowds in MSG.
The Knicks FO gets BIG name players/or big name coaches to keep sell-out crowds in MSG.
The Knicks FO does not go the extra mile to get winning veteran players or winning coaches.
The Knicks/Rangers are a business to sell seats for the owner (Dolan) of MSG.
