Channing Frye suffered a left knee injury in the
game against the Toronto Raptors and left the court in the fourth quarter. He stared for veteran Malik Rose - who had his right ankle sprained - and had one of best games. The X-rays were negative but the Knicks announced later that Channing Frye has a sprained ligament in his left knee and he will be in crutches for the next three weeks.
The good news is that he needs no surgery, but he will miss the rest of the season. He will be back though for the Las Vegas Summer League in July, the official site reported.
Frye's comments on all these were: "I feel good. It could have been a lot worse. I'll be OK."
The rookie had started 14 times this season for the Knicks and was averaging 12.9 ppg and 5.9 rpg, he was .825 from the free throw line and his field goal percentage was of .477
