The New York Knicks offered two days ago restricted free agent
Jared Jeffries of the Washington Wizards a 5 year contract with a starting salary of $5,200,000 for the first year and a total salary of about $30 million. The Wizards have 7 days to match the offer but owner Abe Pollin and president Ernie Grunfield (ex Knick) are interesting in keeping Jeffries. Jared [6-11] played in 77 games last season for his team, averaging 6.4 points and 4.9 rebounds.
