Carmelo Anthony limped out of the locker room with his sprained right ankle heavily taped and his sprained left wrist aching.
All in all, Anthony was lucky to make it out of town in one piece. The same, however, could not be said of his teammates.
“I guess,” Anthony said, “when it rains it pours.”
The Knicks were completely out of whack in every way imaginable Thursday night, falling, 94-83, to the Grizzlies and losing their All-Star small forward in the process. Anthony spent the final 22 minutes in the locker room after rolling his ankle while chasing down a loose ball. In the first quarter, Anthony sprained his left wrist while running around a screen.
