The Knicks won’t have to wait long to get a close look at their new city rival.
The Nets will play their first-ever regular-season game in Brooklyn’s Barclays Center against the Knicks on Nov. 1, league sources confirmed. It will be the first game of the regular season for both teams. The Thursday night game will be nationally televised on TNT.
With the Nets crossing the state line to New York and beefing up their roster this offseason, the rivalry is expected to grow in intensity this season. The Nets re-signed star guard Deron Williams, traded for Hawks sharpshooter Joe Johnson and brought back Brook Lopez after their Dwight Howard pursuit fell short again.
