The undefeated Knicks have had plenty of downtime over the past week to prepare for a rough early test on their schedule, with six of the next seven games on the road beginning Tuesday night in Orlando.
“It’s our schedule and we’ve had four good games and now we have to go see what we’re made of on the road,” coach Mike Woodson said after the 4-0 Knicks practiced Monday in Greenburgh. “Road wins are tough to get so you have to be really locked in and focused as a unit. You can’t turn it over offensively and defensively you have to play at a high level and rebound the ball. All those things you have to have to be successful on the road.
“The schedule is what it is. We can’t run from it. I tell these guys, anybody can be beaten in this league if you don’t come to play. There’s no guarantees. Some of the records might indicate teams are not playing very well, but you’re still beatable if you don’t come to play.”
