Isiah Thomas revealed Wednesday that he was never told at halftime that Stephon Marbury's father was being rushed to a local hospital during Sunday's game after complaining of chest pains.
Thomas, the Knicks president and head coach, is being criticized for not telling Marbury at halftime that his father, Don, had fallen ill.
Thomas said yesterday that he wasn't made aware of the situation until after the game when Marbury also learned that his father had died of an apparent heart attack.
Marbury's sister, Marcia, asked a media relations employee at halftime not to tell Marbury about their father being taken from Madison Square Garden in an ambulance. (...)
