The men who daily ruin Madison Square Garden scream as loud as they can, they stomp their feet, they hope that if they holler themselves hoarse that we will forget what a jury had to say about all of this two months ago. Same as they'd like us to forget the fact that they are 6-14 at the quarter pole of this unimaginably woeful basketball season.
They act the way arrogant men have acted since the beginning of time: if we yell loud enough, and indignant enough, you will listen to us. You will heed us. You will believe us.
Only, the yahoos who operate the Garden continue to mistake their constituency for the top turnip truck in Tupelo. They continue to underestimate their own backyard. They keep losing basketball games, and the men who run the Knicks share a jolly old laugh over votes of confidence. (...)
