Isiah Thomas was essentially down three starters last night, if you included Eddy Curry's dreadful 13-minute performance.
Stephon Marbury missed his third straight game and is not expected to play Saturday against the Nets. Quentin Richardson sat out with a strained right knee tendon. He's listed as day-to-day.
"We could have used Stephon out there," Thomas said.
Nate Robinson, who is buried on Thomas' bench, played just three minutes.
"I put Nate in and that was a mistake," Thomas said. "I put him in a very tough spot."
WHERE'S SPIKE? Spike Lee, one of the Knicks' most recognizable fans, has been conspicuously missing from his courtside seats this season. Could it be that the famous movie director is boycotting his beloved Knicks?
"I have been in Italy since July directing my WWII Epic 'Miracle at St. Anna,'" Lee wrote in an e-mail. "(Yesterday) was the last day and I will be in my courtside seats (for tonight's game against the Nets)." (...)
