Knicks missed out on Powe...The Grizzlies copped him.

we did not get him because walsh was worried about his knees

Really? That's the best excuse they could come up with? So we'd rather not have a big than risk a vets minimum for a season on a guy with knees like our 100M dollar man? LOL.

How bout the real reason:
We didn't get him because he weighs more than 210 and isn't fast/mobile enough to run in Antoni's small lineup fastbreak offense. We will never pick up a big as long as Antoni is here unless that big can run with our small lineup and score facing the basket which excludes about 80% of the bigs in the league.

Sorry but it's real talk.

Spot on. You`ve managed to sum up why we never get any bigs. No D-Toni and his idiotic theory that five shooters with no height can win you games is too blame.

We didn`t play Darko, he`s doing well. We didn`t play Randolph, watch him become a star. We didn`t play Mozgov until forced to because of injury and then he came in and started to improve. We didn`t go after Powe and a few more bigs when we could have this year.

As you said as long as No D-Toni is here we won`t have any size and we`ll keep seeing undersized players being abused in the paint by big, powerful NBA centres.

**** Look at Anthony Randolph`s stats for his last three games. Rebounding, blocking and some good points in limited minutes. This is exactly what we badly need and we had this guy sitting on the bench for half a season. ****

not really, Shaq was playing for MD if you remember, and after all if you have a system of any kind, (wrong or right) it is vital that you bring people who fit in the system, otherwise they will not work.

Antoni was under pressure for his job by the Phoenix front office after losing in the playoffs in consecutive years because they were facing practically all the same problems we are facing. Not to mention Shaq stayed there for one year and hated it and bounced.

Agreed 100%

Theres really nothing else to say, as long as D'Antoni is here we will be a small team with no real size in the middle, and its frustrating as hell!
