So much of the reluctance and worry with the JR Smith signing is the troubles he brings to the lockerroom and his attitude.

This year we experienced our first lockout since the 1999 season. JR Smith is a mid year acquisition to play 35 games if he plays today. The last lockout we had we picked Latrell Sprewell from the Warriors in February in which he finished out 37 games with us. Sprewell like JR had not played in his season proir to joining to the knicks due to the lockout.

Both considered headcases are brought into the knicks in order to help the knicks off the bench. (Sprewell played all but 4 games off the bench in the 1999 season)

JR and Sprewell enjoy reckless driving and have been punished by the NBA for it. hahah

I just thought this was intresting food for thought.

ooo yeah they both will share the number 8...

J.R. is good, but Spree is an All NBA first-teamer, All-Star and one of the best defensive players among guards during his time.

Smith is the perfect 2-guard for D'Antoni's system though.

I was positively surprised by his effort on defense and teamplay today. Seems like he matured in China and cares about winning now rather than beeing cool and fancy and all that.

Good signing, will have bad games as a shooter, but everyone has bad games (apart from Lin and Novak) :teeth:

Calm down guys JR is much more humble now you can even tell by his postgame interview he is humble and is a different man, you can tell when he was talking about playing in China and looking at the conditions those people live in and all that that he came back a different person and is more humble.

He said he is not the same guy he was when he was 18 and that he is a grown man, he will be fine
