Indy drops Mil. so we clinch a spot!

Well no chance that we surrender the number 1 pick in the draft this year!

And all the hopes of a title are practical to talk about!

Now where do we finish and who do we face?

0-4 we get sweeped by miami

 cheers....

Now the question is.... what seed do we conquer 7th or 8th

That would be as bad as last season vs Boston. I say we throw a pretty good scare into them.

You know if Miami beats the bulls tonight they prevent them from clinching top seed and move within 1.5 games of top spot. Still a small chance they swap places and we play bulls from 7th spot

Bulls down 8 in third quarter.

They have Dallas, Indiana and Cavs left to play
Heat have all winnable games with two vs wizards, Houston and Boston.

Heat remaining schedule

wizards
rockets
celtics
wizards

Bulls Remaining scheudle

Dallas
Indi
Cavs

it's a possibility they surpass the bulls but i think they stay the #2 seed
either way we have our hands full weather it be the bulls or heat

I still have hope Orlando falls out of 6th place and we play the Pacers. Is it just me with this small glimmer of hope?

Dwight is out for the season including playoffs... Hopefully Orlando just goes into shutdown mode and forfeits that 6 seed to us.

Yup! Losing 3 of the last four is pretty possible especially with all the injuries they have, not just Dwight.

Alright! Cautious optimism for all.

It was looking almost as if it weren't possible for a while there.

Heat or Bulls - either way we're underdogs; but we're not under gunned. I think if we can take one of the 2 opening away games we're as deadly a 7th seed as there has been in many long years.

I would love to face Indiana in the 1st round, but that's looking all the more unlikely as Orlando have miraculously outlasted opponents with Howard out of the lineup. Gay. The main reason being that they're unexperienced and have no real star.

The Heat and Bulls are well weathered, particularly the Heat.

Anything likely to switch up in the seeding or is it solidified?

Yes just saw it on ticker. He is done for season. They are not the same with without him. He will have surgery and also miss the The Summer Games as well. Good shot they lose out. We pretty much have to win out to pass them though

Oh ****! Really!?

That adds some interest to the Knicks moving up to 6th.

You know Van Gundy wants to be successful without Howard SO BAD after all that media jargon. They won't lie down and take it. That would be Anti-Van Gundy style.

Wonder what amare is thinking. Dwight tried to play through it for the Team and now needs surgery. Amare has same problem with his back. If he comes back and hurts it again he may also require surgery and mess up things for the remaining portion of his contract

Dwight announced earlier today to Orlando's GM and owner they he won't return if van Grundy is still the coach next yr? Lol

I think a herniated disc is more severe than a buldging one which is what Amare has.

Playoff spot clinched, highlight of my day!

Hopefully when the Knicks store release their playoff merch this year I'll get more than a few days use out of it.

As I under stand Amare has a BULGING DIsK. Which is apparently less severe than a herniated disk. Dwight is going through what Baron Davis had to suffer if Dwight's diagnosis is correct.

Oh I know. But u start banging under the boards and fall the wrong way and it could get worse. I want him back and heathy for playoffs but not if we lose him for next yr.

Charles Barkley said the Knicks stink and would be one and done in the playoffs, have to make him eat those words. Best way to start is to win out and hope Orlando loses 3 to get the 6th seed.

Yes, lots of drama down there. You never know what can happen with all this stuff going on.

Honestly, i felt Dwight was as classy as possible before the incident with the arm over van gundy's shoulder and now this... Its really turning into another Lebron James situation

Need to make that FOOL eat Crow.

Kinda like a lot of the media had to do after giants won SB

Yeah, its always been like this. Media hates NY teams for some reason. I think it should have been realized by now that we're a different team under Woodson.

BTW You have that same username on the Giants' boards right? I thought i recognized it from somewhere. Thanks for the feedback!

Not same thing. Dwight has a herniated disk which is what baron has. It is worse than a bulging disk, which amare has. The bulging disk if not treated can develop into a herniated disk.

Going to be tough to win out against the Clips and Hawks but if the Bobcats can give us some help and beat the Magic so they go 0-4 we can lose one of those games and still get 6th.

Nyknicks141
Apr 19, 2012, 21:28
The Bobcats winning? LOL!

In all seriousness though i cant see them beating anyone to be honest. They have something to play for though. They should be trying to play against having the worst win percentage in NBA history.

2 scenarios can play out

we catch Orlando and end up with Indiana in the 1st Round

Miami catches Chicago and we get the Bulls instead of Miami in the 1st Round

either one I'm happy with, I dont want Miami in Round 1

disagree again :P i believe to be the best you have to beat the best. If we are not ALL-IN (giants <3) then might as well just lose early get a few extra week(s) of rest

Can it turn into a herniated disc by coming back to soon and mixing it up under the boards?

we're not gonna get along lmao

if there is 1 team I dont see losing in the 1st Round, its the Heat I rather anyone over them just because I want STAT to get his groove back, I think Melo can lead us for the 1st round and then come Round 2 STAT has a rhythm and we keep working from there

Also yeah I see a lot of the Giants in us even though I hate them

You know you are right. The injuries. Having to play the best and no one thinking they had a shot (GB, SF, Pats) heck for that matter not many thought they'd beat atlanta and they whipped them 24-2.

Bring on Miami , Boston and Chicago and the thunder for good measure!!!

you know you got me thinking about it and yeh it would be much better if we can get to the 2nd round. I can see stat getting his groove back, and to a lesser extent the return (healthy) of lin could also be helpful. But come on heat in round 1 99 all over again !

I feel you, if the we beat the Heat in the 1st Round, the sports world(Skip Bayless) would have a field day

I think we can beat anybody but I just think the Heat are the one team that make me nervous
