No mention of Jason Smith who also got hurt in the Bucks game.
How important is Calderon to the Knicks?

Imported point guard Jose Calderon left Monday?s preseason loss to the Bucks early in the first quarter with a strained right calf and did not return.

?We?re not sure at this moment, but it?s not an extremely serious injury,? Derek Fisher said when asked if he expects Calderon to be available for Wednesday?s game against Washington. ?He just felt a little tug in his calf, and I think if this were a regular-season night he would have returned. But the medical staff, training staff, we all felt it was best to kind of nip that in the bud tonight if we could and see how he feels tomorrow and hopefully by Wednesday he feels OK.?

Shane Larkin played 21 minutes, including some time with the first unit, in Calderon?s absence. Pablo Prigioni, who didn?t get off the bench in two of the first four games, logged a preseason-high 23 minutes and scored eight points.

Calderon, 33, was acquired from Dallas over the summer in the deal that sent Raymond Felton and Tyson Chandler to the Mavericks.

J.R. Smith, who was hampered by back spasms in the Knicks? previous game last Tuesday in Syracuse, scored 11 points in 17 minutes and said he feels ?a lot better.?

STILL NOT READY
Andrea Bargnani missed his fourth straight game with a strained hamstring, and Travis Outlaw also was sidelined with a sore Achilles tendon.

?Andrea was progressing, he had some workouts to the side of the court as we were practicing a couple of days and during some of those workouts he was still experiencing some discomfort,? Fisher said. ?I think at this point of the season it?s still smart to be cautious early. When he first steps on the floor he should not have any question about what he?s capable of doing.?
