I knew he wasn't going to stay an ESPN analyst forever and would pop up somewhere. NY Liberty though, never would have thought he would wind up there but it's a chance to prove himself so he can get Phil's job when he's gone.

Isola wrote an article today saying this Liberty job was a way for him to get Phil's job when he inevitably leaves the Knicks. Interesting take is Zeke will get some of the credit for any FA's Phil signs because he has the Liberty job now and will probably be there as part of the MSG team when Phil meets FA's this summer

Zeke himself said you never know what life holds when asked if he would ever be involved with the Knicks again.

D'oh!-lan does it again. this gay jungle fever for Zeke has got to stop. the fact that D'oh!-lan released a statement saying that MSG does not agree with the court decision that cost the company $11.5M, is incredibly ignorant, and should cost James Dolan his job.

Jim Dolan can't lose his job, the family owns maybe 3% of MSG corp but when they originally sold off shares they made sure they came with no voting rights. Dolan has supervoting power to hire and fire himself. The only way Dolan leaves is a drug overdose or bullet wound

Good info, I didn't know that even though its a publicly owned company the Dolans control it. Dolan isn't going to lose his job because of Zeke regardless, MSG is making money hand over fist, sold out Knicks games despite the worst record ever. Shareholders care more about that and the stock price than Dolan's homo affair with Zeke.

When it come to drafting players .. Isiah gets a B+ over the Knicks past 10 GM who average C minus on our past draft nights.

Isiah has access to the best college scouts incase Phil trades down .. as for Isiah advice on trades thats 50-50 WHY? There are Dolan trades, then there are Isiah trades .. 50-50
Dolan and Isiah dont know the worth $$$ of a players skills .. both value a player/coach celebrity status before skills

Who knows? maybe at the board-meeting Phil got on Dolan/Melo bad side, by Phil's decision on draft picks and max FA ???

Recall the last time Dolan tried to rehire Isiah in July 2010, a couple of days after GM Walsh sign n trade David Lee.
David Lee were Walsh last trade for the Knicks .. Walsh stayed puppet GM untill July 2011.

Thomas will return in a leadership capacity for the Knicks. It is just a matter of time. The most strange part in all of this is a man that was accused of sexual harassment, of an ugly ass bitch mind you, is now president and owner of an all women's basketball franchise. Aside from that absurdity, let's hope that he can be a better GM that monitor's salaries and keeps draft picks. When you think about it, this is really where Thomas failed in his previous tenure.

Dolan put a ACE up his sleeve .. hiring Isiah in the management capacity
just incase Phil Jackson come down with a medical problem stopping Phil from fullfilling his contract
(a dissagreement with Dolan could make that happen)

It would take Dolan a year or more to find a potential GM to replace Phil Jackson if Phil quit tomorow?
It doesnt take a week to find a replacement for Isiah Thomas

Zeke's hiring has really caused an uproar and opinion is very negative, I don't think I saw one positive comment except from Bill Lambier on the hiring. Most CEO's and public figures like Dolan take into consideration public opinion and negative backlash like hiring Zeke would provoke yet Dolan still hires him, Dolan is an idiot.

Zeke's job is to boost attendance and make the Liberty a successful franchise, let's see if he's able to do that but he starts off in a big hole with so much negative opinion about him.
