Game Thread: NYK@BOS Mar. 4 7:30PM

Its on. Can't watch because its Friday but hoping the Knicks play hard and finish the season strong.

Knicks actually look like a basketball team (other than the incredibly horrendous offense from backup guards Grant and GallowAy).

KP was hot and showing a smooth post game, so naturally we did everything possible to ensure we didn't exploit the KP-Amir mismatch.

11 point lead cut to 5 at the half.

Been watching the game since opening tip, but not in a good setup to post much during this game.

Regardless, we look good, particularly on offense. Melo and Porzingis are getting good shots and knocking them down. We can easily win this game, but our fatal flaw of inability to guard the opposing PG, in this case All-Star Isiah Thomas, needs to be overcome.

67-65 BOS with 8 to go in the 3rd...11-0 run by BOS.

Knicks should be up 20 but the guards are horrible. It is literally a layup fest for BOS guards. Nobody can stay in front of anybody.

22-2 fast break points (BOS destroying NYK)...

Calderon-Affalo-Galloway-grant with 6 assists and 8 turnovers...

All 8 turnovers unforced errors... Just a NYK guard dribbling aimlessly and then jumping in air and making foolish pass...5 of those 8 turnovers were basically handoffs to BOS (which directly led to uncontested layups).

So... Our guards have given BOS 10 gift points and have only set up fellow teammates for 12 points. Yikes. Just can't win in NBA with this guard play.

Major indicator that your coaching is garbage: You lose every lead that you built for months in the first half in the first few minutes of the 3rd quarter because the other team made good adjustments and you did not.

Thomas is awful tonight... 1-5... Missed uncontested layup and a wide open 3...

The disappearance of Williams and Thomas since Dec has decimated the offense.

87-81 NYK after 3... Affalo and Calderon at least scoring a bit... Here comes the fourth quarter meltdown.

How BOS has the better record is amazing. Is it coaching? They have a decent PG and that's about it.

If I wasn't a NYK fan this would be hilarious. Affalo drains a 3 to end third quarter and again to start 4th... Since then...

Galloway forces a **** (long 3)... Clank. Calderon blows a layup... KP drives and he blows a layup... Langton drives not once or twice but thrice and misses all 3 attempts.

Lopez makes a wild hook.

In and out... Good shot by Melo tho... He's 10-21... 24 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists...

Melo basically has as many assists as all guards combined.

Calderon hits. Knicks up 8... Turner pushes off but no foul called...

Crowder always plays Melo tough... Anthony bricks a 3... Ball is starting to stick now (like it always does in the 4th with Melo)...

We, as a team, are playing hard, playing intense, playing pissed off. Clearly, this team as a whole is sick of being terrible. You can see it in the faces of guys like Melo, Robin Lopez, Calderon, and even Afflalo. Our guys want to win a stupid game at this point.

Afflalo has been huge tonight. He has knocked down open shot after open shot that the ball movement has facilitated. Lance Thomas has gone back to being the dirty work guy that he was earlier in the season.

8 point lead with less than 3 and a half minutes to play. This stupid team needs to find a way to not blow this game.

We just let the Celtics knock 7 points off the lead in less than 2 minutes. At least 4 of those points came off turnovers leading to easy fast break points.

This team is garbage. They have 90 seconds to show some poise and close this game with a 1 point lead out.
