Chaney is annoyed that the fans are smarter than him......

"Even after the point guard scored 10 points and collected a career-high nine assists, with only one turnover, in 23 minutes in the Knicks' win over the Hawks Saturday night, Don Chaney seemed annoyed with the suggestion of moving Williams into the starting lineup.
While he admitted Williams played "great," he is also not ready to bench Howard Eisley, who saw his playing time reduced to 13 minutes because of Williams' effectiveness.
"I'm going to say this and I've said this before," said Chaney, "and I said it to Frank and I keep saying it: It's about consistency. If he plays this well all the time, he'll be playing." Williams has been anything but consistent, shooting only 31% and handing out only 54 assists, compared to 32 turnovers. But he is optimistic. "I believe the time is coming," he said. "We have to wait and see what happens. But I think that I am ready to turn the corner."
