ISIAH THOMAS!!!

Wow, Donnie Walsh, you're really intelligent. The person who you get your drafting advice from is the same guy who took Channing Frye over
Andrew Bynum, Rashad McCants, and Danny Granger.

Here's the website with the article:
http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2008/06/27/sports/BKN-Knicks-Gallinari.php

It's on the 7th paragraph of the article.

All I've got to say is this: Walsh is a genius.

Isiah knows talent. Deal with it. You crying about us picking Dani doesn't turn back time and change it.
lmao @ your post. You must live in the 90s, when Isiah Thomas drafted Damon Stoudamire, Marcus Camby, and Tracy McGrady. I live in the 00s, where Isiah picked Channing Frye over Bynum, Granger, and McCants, and where he picked Fred Jones over Tayshaun Prince, and where he picked Mardy Collins over Daniel Gibson. Isiah Thomas got fired for a reason. It wasn't because he has a good eye for talent-it was in fact the opposite.
According to this website, Gallinari has a 25% chance of being a bust.
Your # 6 pick shouldn't have such a high bust potential.

I'm not trying to attack you, tuneraddict, but this is just facts.
I also don't think Gallinari is going to be a bust, because Isiah usually does pick people with talent. But he also usually picks people who are one dimensional role players. EX: Renaldo Balkman-defense, no offense
Nate Robinson-Offense, little passing and little defense
Mardy Collins-zero offense, some defense
Randolph Morris- Who is this guy?
Channing Frye-Can shoot, has no defense

lmao @ tuner addict gettin owned....

Donnie walsh looks like he could die at any minute. Whos gonna replace him when he dies?

If Isiah approved it, then he's probably giving the final touch on the fuck the Knicks orginization and their fans. He's gonna add some sprinkles when it comes to decisions.

I just hope this kid isn't a bust just for our sake, he looks decent but I am still skeptical until his NBA play is displayed.

First, Isiah didn't draft Randolph Morris, special circumstance made Morris ineligible for the draft and Isiah picked up the guy who was seen as a lottery pick otherwise. He was up for grabs by anyone during the season, its not like he picked him over other guys. First chance he had when he learned of the rule, he grabbed him.

Second, Channing over Granger/Bynum/McCants is what anyone would do. Channing had a great rookie season. Noone saw anything in Granger, it took Bynum three years and KAJ's help before he magically appeared from nowhere(remember how Kobe though he was a bust and wanted him gone over the summer?). Shit, I was unaware McCants was even anymore in the league because I haven't heard a whisper about him.

Secondly, Daniel Gibson? Really? And you're complaining about one dimensional? He shoots threes. Thats it. He can't pass, penetrate, pull up, play D. Hes a three point specialist.

Third, Who cares about a website. Who are they? What have they done? Nothing. They have no place to be talking. They said Beasley was 10%. Yeah right. I guess since someone put it on the internet it must be true. Oh news flash, a leprechaun mugged Javon Walker because he stole his lucky charms. You heard it here first. Its fact.

Fourth, You're right, Fred Jones was a bad pick.

Fifth, Who says 25%, even though its really an unwaranted number, is too high for a 6th pick. Who should they have gotten? OH wait, Danilo was the best available. There were 3 guaranteed stars in the draft. Everyone after that was a gamble. EVERYONE. DJ is a gamble. Westbrook is a gamble. Love is a bust already. Etc.... I'll take 75% at being the projected player any day.

I hope nobody gets offended but when I first joined this site I was like DAMN these are real Knick fans but lately almost more than half the people on here do nothing but complain about everything Im not doubting anybodys loyalty to the team but I dont know what your looking for all I see is Walsh Fucked up with this and that Walsh ruined the team Dantoni is not a good coach he dont know what he is doing Honestly a couple of months ago Isiah ran the whole show now we got a proven guy in the office and a coach that has done nothing but win in the West I think we made a pretty good upgrade Management wise in a short period of time. Now to the draft I am not even close to knowing much about College players but how does anybody really know how these kids are gonna turn out its a draft not a proven formula to succes you scout as much as you can and hope your right and if it works your a genuis and get paid if it dont you lose your job,So how many years has Walsh been around he must be doing something right.Look we got two guys in charge of the Knicks that have been very succesful and Isiah is pretty much gone except for people on here bringing him up and him earning some of his salary rather than do nothing to sit home and I dont blame Dolan for that.Lets just give it a little time at least we didnt take on a bad contract at the draft and sign on more over paid contracts we got a 20 year old kid who was a star in Europe and if the players in Europe are that bad why dont we have all amature college kids playing them in the olympics,Because they would get abused.

I'm done talking to you. What you're saying makes no sense. I have sources to back up what I said. Just click on the links, so that you could see for yourself. If you don't believe the links, fine. But I don't have anything else to prove to you. If you think it was logical to pick a 5th small forward to the Knicks, instead of DJ Augustin, Jarryd Bayless, or Brook Lopez, then you have issues.

Jimenezz7: you're a good poster. I respect what you have to say, because what you say is usually fair. I am a true Knicks fan. I've liked the Knicks since 1999. The main reason why I complain about the Knicks is because they've been playing sub .500 ball for 7 years, and I'm getting tired of losing. Even when the Knicks made the playoffs in '04, the got their ass kicked badly by the Nets. The Knicks didn't need Danilo Gallinari, because they already have Wilson Chandler and Renaldo Balkman. However, I like how you use logic, when you make your statements.

Finally: I already announced this before, but this is in case anyone forgot. I'm not going to be on this site, until October, at the start of the Knicks preseason. I will be here on Saturdays, however, to check my private messages. If anyone has a trade offer for the Fantasy Draft game, feel free to contact me. This is the best Knicks forum on the internet, and I look forward to coming back for next season.

Thats what makes this site so good because people disagree on somethings and agree on others and when you take the time to hear people sometimes you learn a thing or two as long as you dont take things to a personal level,ABCD I got mad respect for your basketball knowledge,I have been a fan since the 80s suffered before Ewing and Suffering ever since he left so I feel what your saying but with all the bad that has gone on for the last 8 years Im just trying to buy into Walsh and Dantonis systems and I have to give them the benefeit of the doubt because we cant say for sure that they have made one mistake yet that wont be known until they start playing and we see what goes on.But I am Damn sure more confident then I was a year ago.ABCD your knowledgable posts will be missed

lol
that article is trying to get readers....pure sensationalism...

Kevin Wilson, knicks euro scout has been keeping his eye on Da Big Cock for 3 yrs now watching him play since he was 16.
Isiah was sent over to Europe because donnie does not want him here. There is no way that if exile someone like that - you're gonna make their input the most important thing in ur decision.
Isiah atleast has to do something while collecting $5mil a year - so he probably saw him play a couple games.
By the way for the record, Brendan Suhr "the fat jabba da hut" dude is the real scouter for talent and has been the one who tells isiah who to pick ever since their days in Toronto all the way up to NY.

The kid is gonna be a special player - I think he needs about 2 yrs to really shine. Look at Dirk - when he was drafted in 99 everyone thought he was a bust and then once he got used to the NBA he blew up....and DG has balls and is unafraid of contact unlike dirk.

You didn't prove anything ABCD. Your "facts" aren't facts. They are opinion. Not a single bit of evidence in your entire argument.
