PEJ: Will he get the call this year?

Just wondering....

His D-League numbers are pretty big. He had an impressive pre-season for the minutes he played.

Forget his last name, I think he's a solid role player and the type of spark player we need off the bench in the event that N8 is gone (which looks pretty probable at this point)

Opinions?

I don't get why we never signed him. He is capable of playing in the NBA can very well be an Ariza type player. What's the holdup? Its not like he's looking for a huge ass salary.

I just think that D'Antoni, who Walsh says has ultimate personnel decision-making power, wants to take care of his own first. I just hope the kid gets his shot at playing, hopefully in NY. It just seems right that he play for NY. It'd really energize the spirit of the loyal, old time fans.

I think until he develops a solid jumper her will not be a fit for this team. I dont know if he is a lock down defender, in the Bruce Bowen mold, so he isnt a specialist yet either.
I hope it works out for him in NY though.

Dantoni is known for having a roster where no matter who he has on the court, they can shoot the ball. PEJ in a great hustle player and defender but doesn't quite fit into the Dantoni system. I totally feel he should be a knick but i'm just giving you the facts.

i dont think it has anything to do with walsh or mike d , It has to do with PEJ, its not like any other teams gave him a significant look, so to say its all Mike D and walsh is illogical, the guy obviously has some serious flaws that prohibit him from making the jump to the nba not just in the standards of the knicks brass, but the nba in its entirety.
