Warriors coach Don Nelson made no secret of the fact that Crawford wasn't in his future plans. By shedding Crawford's longer contract and by virtue of insurance payments that will cover some of the costs of Claxton, Golden State would secure a decent measure of payroll relief with the trade.

Crawford will finally see a playoff game. Too bad he'll be coming off the bench though.

He was always a good soldier for us.

I wonder what this means as for as the draft is concerned.

Making room for Curry or another guard? Hmmm.....

^I agree. If they give him enough minutes, he might put them back in the lottery with his no defense, chucker style of play.

Stupid trade, for the Hawks. I Don't exactly see where they're going having both Joe Johnson and Jamal on the same squad. They must be preparing to trade Jamal for something else.

^Yeah. This doesn't make much sense for Atlanta.

I guess that rumor about wanting to shed payroll (e.g. Josh Smith) to sign Bibby and Marvin Williams was false.
